Godus – How to get more belief and followers

Godus is Peter Molyneux’s new god game for the iOS, Android, PC, Mac and Linux platforms – so it’s pretty much all encompassing. There is a TON of stuff to do in this game, but at the root of it, it boils down to how many followers you can get, and how much belief you can get. Read on to find out how to get more followers and belief!

Belief, as you may know, is the primary currency of the game. The main way to get more belief is to have as many abodes as possible, and to collect from them as often as possible. You’ll see a pink dot above the abode, settlement, or whatever else it is, which signifies that it’s ready to collect. Cheat and set the time ahead on your phone or tablet in order to make it so that the belief is ready to collect right away.

You can collect beliefs from trees and rocks as well. Make it easy by first tapping and holding on one tree or one rock. Then swipe around without letting go of the screen, and you’ll be able to destroy trees or rocks (whichever one you tapped first) simply by swiping over them. You can even swipe over trees or rocks that are in off-limits areas, as long as they are just slightly over the border.

Followers are earned in the same way, sort of. The more houses that you build, the more followers you have. As you unlock more cards, you’ll unlock better houses, which hold more followers. Make the best use of available space by destroying old, outdated abodes and having your builders replace them with better ones.

Once you unlock the God Powers, use them to increase your followers even further. Use the beautification power to make your territory prettier. The abodes in the immediate area around your beautification will be able to hold more followers than the ones that aren’t within the beautification circle.

The time lapse trick works here, too. When you have buildings under construction, set the time ahead on your phone or tablet (it’s unknown if this trick works on laptops and desktops) and then go back to the game, and if the time is equal to what it takes to finish the structure, then it will already be done when you get back to the game.
