Star Wars: Commander – The Ultimate Tips, Cheats, and Strategy Guide

Star Wars: Commander is the latest in the very prolific iOS series of Star Wars games. Unlike the rest (which are mostly card battlers and LEGO games), this one is an RTS in a similar vein to Clash of Clans or Command and Conquer. You play as a group of mercenaries who either align themselves with the Empire or the Rebel Alliance. Read on for some tips and tricks for Star Wars: Commander!

Right from the beginning of the game you can choose whether to ally with the Alliance or the Empire. If you want to try the other choice, you can either go to another iOS device, uninstall the game and reinstall it, or do the following. Link your game to your Facebook account, delete it, then reinstall. mkae a new account and link it to a difference Facebook account. Then you can switch back and forth as needed.

Concentrate on the battling side of things first. Arm yourself to the teeth with troops and heroes, then go fight against random players. If you haven’t completed the quests yet, though, complete those first as they are the fastest way to earn Alloy and Credit, the two currencies of the game. Upgrade your Credit Markets faster because you use up so much of it so fast when fighting.

Load up your defenses to prevent your resources and trophies from getting stolen. Put as many of the credit and alloy buildings, and the headquarters, inside of the walls as you can, and upgrade the walls as high as you can. If you are trying to drop trophies, stick your town hall outside of your base so that enemies attack that first at the expensive of ignoring the resources, causing you to keep resources and get easy shields.

Load gun turrets up in equal distances (roughly) around the base. Make sure that all of your important buildings, and everything possible, is within shooting distance of the turrets. And, to make it harder for enemies to get 3 stars, stick a few buildings out in the very corners of the base (although if they send one troop at a time to knock off the buildings, that just makes it easier for them)

Crystals are the premium currency in Star Wars: Commander. To get free crystals, clear out all of the junk and rocks that are strewn about your base. Plus, the more completed achievements and single player story chapters, the more crystals you’ll earn. Spend your crystals on more droids before anything else, since that will have a HUGE permanent effect on your base’s growth.
