Pirate Bash is a new game by DeNA for the iOS and Android platforms. It’s kind of like a competitive version of Angry Birds, with the same slingshot physics. Your team of pirates and other teams of pirates fire all kinds of weapons at each other with the goal being, of course, to destroy them before they destroy you. Read on for some tips and tricks for Pirate Bash!
Always know what weapon each of your crew members is using and what the characteristics are of the weapon. If you need to be reminded in the middle of the battle, tap on the question mark in the upper right hand corner of the screen for a description of the current pirate’s weapon. Each weapon has an effect that happens on the second tap; use that to your advantage as much as possible.
Use the surrounding environment of your team and your enemy’s team to your advantage. Look for ways to drop objects on them by firing at them. If someone is perched atop a tower, try to knock them off the tower and into the water. Or try to bounce a cannonball off of the head of one pirate and onto another one for damage to double the pirates at the same time. Or simply destroy any structure that they are standing on in order to make them fall and take damage.
Use the silver keys and gold coins to your advantage. Take them to the treasure store and spend them on chests to get better crew and better weapons. If you want to grind for even more of them, go back to old levels that you have already beaten, and beat them again and again to grind for more keys and more coins.
This is also a great way to earn experience points. You earn experience after every battle in this game, and when your pirates gain a level, they will get stronger. Once you unlock the blacksmith you’ll be able to upgrade their weapons, and you’ll be able to upgrade your crew as a whole once you have the required gemstones.
Check the info tab to look for special events that are happening or that are about to happen, because these often end up being the best source of rare crew, rare weapons, and gold coins.
