Epic Island is a new loot-obsessed RPG for the iOS platform. This new Backflip Studios release is a simple game that you can play for a minute at a time and always feel like you’re making progress, and – oh yeah – always finding ways to collect new loot. Read on for some tips and tricks for Epic Island for the iPhone and iPad!
Always look around the map for the boxes full of treasure. You’ll tend to find anything in there from coins to even gems. Gems are the premium currency of the game, so when you find a treasure box/present full of it, that’s money saved. Save up your gems over time and they will really add up.
Your stats suck at the beginning of the game no matter who you start the game with, so be sure to spend your skill points wisely every time that you level up. When you gain a level you can increase either your attack, defense, or magic power. While it’s never a bad idea to increase in a balanced fashion, you can create specialist heroes to take on physical or magical opponents by doing one for one hero, and one for the other hero.
If you’re having trouble, go back to older dungeons and play the same old enemies again. Your loot won’t be as good as that which you find in the new dungeons, but old loot is always valuable, as you can take it to the blacksmith to have it merged into your new loot, which of course increases your new loot’s stats and bestows other effects (such as an extra coin bonus) upon its wearer.
Ignore the titans unless you plan to fully dedicate your gaming experience to battling them. You’ll get a big prize if you are one of their top attackers; otherwise, you will earn nothing except wasted time for attacking them, so if you plan on questing, then don’t bother with the titans.
Your luck in the arena depends on how strong your equipment is, because your opponents and you are organized by level. Send a low level character in with extremely strong equipment that’s had plenty of other equipment merged into it, and you’ll run right through almost every opponent.
