Deep Sea Shooter is a retro 8-bit style shooter for the iOS platform. It’s a top-down shooter for folks who are fans of games like Raiden and Sky Force 2014, but who are also complete masochists who want a game that’s impossible to ever beat (yet that never want to stop trying). Like your humble author. Ha! Anyways, here are some tips and cheats for Deep Sea Shooter!
You have an energy metric in this game – ten energy, for that matter, is how much your maximum is, and irritatingly, you have half an hour to recover one energy, so when your energy meter runs out, you’ll need to wait 5 hours to get it all back. Or you can set the time ahead on your iPhone or iPad.
Once you do this, go back to the game and you will see that your energy is back – the amount will correspond to how far ahead you set the time. Afterwards, go back to the date and time and set the time back to normal, then go to the game and you will still have all of that free energy.
This is a difficult game, so the number one way to get as far as possible is simply: don’t get hit. Shoot your way through the constant rows of robots. Then when you get to the boss, if you can beat the boss, then kill them, and if not, then avoid their shots, kill their little bomb bots, then wait until they start moving toward you and scoot around them.
You can upgrade the power ups in this game to increase their effectiveness. You have four of them, and you have to shoot an entire row of robots (usually) in order to earn them. However, your best upgrade (and most useful) is the upgrade to your submarine, which will give you more firepower, allowing you to kill enemies and bosses much easier and much more quickly.
When you kill enemies, both small coins and big coins come out. Small coins are worth one, and big coins are worth five. When you kill a boss, be ready to move fast because they will release an entire circle of coins. Try to get all of the big coins before you move on.
