The Lord of the Rings: Legends of Middle-earth – How to get rare (three, four, and five star) cards

The Lord of the Rings: Legends of Middle-earth is Kabam’s latest card-battling spinoff of an MMORTS franchise, following KoC spinoff Heroes of Camelot. This one, of course, takes you through the world of the books and the movies that should be well known to everyone by now. There are cards of rarities between one and five stars in this game. Read on for some tips on how to get the rarer of those cards!

Three-star cards are actually not that uncommon. One good way to get them is merely in the quest stages themselves. While you’ll find mostly one or two star heroes in the quests, three star heroes will pop up sometimes. Plus, as a reward for earning every hero in a chapter, you’ll earn a rare (four or five) star hero as well for beating the level boss.

All that you have to do to get the above reward is to go to any stage that you have beaten already in a chapter that you have already passed, but where a question mark appears in one of the boxes. Keep playing until you get the hero that fills in the question mark. Repeat for all of the heroes here. Then a boss character will appear over all of the stages in the chapter. Beat the boss and you will earn the rare hero.

Heroic summons in the store, as well as Premium summons, will exclusively get you a three-star-or-above card, so be sure to collect the summoning stones and mithril in order to be able to afford them. Basic summons have a chance at a three-star card, though it will be mostly one or two stars.

The rewards collection in the arena is an excellent place to get rare heroes. All you have to do is battle in the arena until you get enough battle points for a reward or two. Head to the larger arenas in order to find better rewards. The small arenas tend to have other items as rewards, rather than rare hero cards.

Otherwise, if you want a powerful hero in the meantime, then take a common hero, especially a two star, and evolve them three times in order to turn them into a very, very powerful version of what they started out as. This should be enough to fill up your team.
