Outcast Odyssey is one good looking card battler for the iOS and Android platforms. It’s one of the few card battlers where you actually do the fighting yourself rather than having to watch the computer do it. There is a nearly endless amount of cards that you can pick up, enhance and evolve, a ton of stages, and multiple ways to battle, compete and win. Read on for some tips and tricks for Outcast Odyssey!
Battling is done by tapping one of the targets on an enemy, and the various realms/elements are strong and weak against each other, but it’s the opposite of what you might normally think. Green is strong against red, which is strong against blue, which is strong against green. Weak points take the most damage of all though.
To make the most out of a weak point, attack it with your strongest party member. Put your strongest attacker in either the second or third position so that you can use your first member/party leader to attack a 1-hit weak point. Then attack it with the strong card in second or third position to do maximum damage. If a spot has a weapon stuck in it, like a sword, then hit that spot first for huge damage done.
Save up your gems and don’t waste them on taking one more turn at the treasure chest. Use them to purchase rare card packs. Another way to get rare card packs is to pick up all of the drops in each stage of an island. Once you completely clear that out, a four or five star card pack will be your reward.
Rare three star cards pop up all the time in treasure chests, but one and two star cards are more common. To open a ton of treasure chests, go to campaign level 1-1 (the introductory level), because it’s the fastest one to finish and there is a chest in there every time that you go in there.
Sometimes an evolved card will be more powerful than even a rare card. If you have duplicate cards, always evolve them to see how strong they will get. You can evolve one card up to four times, as long as you have one duplicate card per evolution. If a card has already been enhanced it will retain some of the stat boosts after the evolution as well.
Don’t battle the top ranking players in the arena – it’s very easy to accidentally waste a turn. Start off with the weakest opponents possible, and test the waters on the next difficulty level up once you find it easy to beat the current difficulty level of player. The higher the difficulty, the more honor points you get when you win.
