Guardians of the Galaxy: The Universal Weapon – Tips, Tricks, Cheats and Strategy Guide

Guardians of the Galaxy: The Universal Weapon is a new action RPG for the iOS and Android platforms. You take control of Star-Lord, Drax, Groot and your other favorite heroes from the comic books and the movies (including Howard the Duck later on in the game), and quest through a multitude of missions to break all of your friends out (which is a LOT of them), collect silver, crystals and ISO-8. Read on for some tips and tricks for Guardians of the Galaxy: The Universal Weapon!

When you drag a line over from a hero to an enemy, they automatically begin attacking, but there is a lot that you can do manually in battles as well. Often if a character is under heavy attack, simply having them run away can be enough to help them avoid attacks. Be sure that your highest-defense characters are the ones on the front line, with ranged characters in back.

Use the special attacks as often as they appear; they will often be the difference between who wins a particular battle, and if you don’t use them when they are available to you, you are doing less damage and/or less healing than you could be doing.

Be sure to always check the store for new equipment to buy for each character. Their signature weapons, as well, are also upgradable. If you need more silver for upgrades and are stuck on the current stage, go back to an older stage and farm it for silver. This also works for experience point farming, so that your characters can gain levels and become stronger on their own without you having to spend anything.

Skills will be activated at new experience levels (multiples of 5, typically). Go to the skills page for each character and you can change skills at will whenever you have two skills assigned to one experience level. Change it depending on what you need at the time for a particular battle strategy.

Each character can equip up to three ISO-8 pieces. If you have four of the same piece, they can be fused together to make a more powerful tier of that color ISO-8 piece. Each color denotes what stats are improved by use of the piece. For example, a purple ISO-8 will improve your hero’s defense and HP. A red chip will improve attack power. A blue one will improve health. Orange improves both attack and defense. Green improves attack and HP. A prismatic chip will improve attack, defense and HP.
