Garfield Kart: Fast and Furry – Tips, Tricks, Cheats, and Strategy Guide

Garfield Kart: Fast and Furry is a new go kart racing game for the iOS and Android starring the original “Grumpy Cat”, well before the current one came around. You can play as Garfield, Jon, Odie and your other favorite characters from the comics and the cartoons, racing go karts around a la Mario Kart, attacking each other with more weapons than you can shake a lasagna at. Read on for some tips and tricks for Garfield Kart: Fast and Furry!

You can customize the game in a lot of ways, and right from the beginning you can decide on which control scheme works best: the tilting controls or the left and right buttons, and that’s not even counting the other options if you are playing on a game controller. Generally, the accuracy is a little bit better with the left and right buttons, but if you’re dexterous it’s far easier to control the game more accurately with tilting.

Use the drifting boosts to get WAY ahead of the other racers. Drift and you will be rewarded with a small turbo boost, and if you’re good it’s possible to drift through every single turn in most stages. Then, you have to aim the boost correctly lest you boost right into a wall, but if you do then it will be easy to destroy the other racers.

You can buy numerous upgrades in the store spending either coins or macaroons. New characters, cars, hats and spoilers are all available, and all have different stats as far as speed, acceleration and ease of use, and ease of use essentially translates to “handling”. The cars and spoilers, which change stats the most, are NOT listed in order of worst to best; they are completely randomized as far as stat boosts and stat nerfs, so scroll through each individually to see what you are getting.

Hit the stadium area and you won’t have to worry about any of the goals in the main game, just racing and finishing in first place. The multiplayer mode, especially, is where the meat of the game is because you get to play live against other players. Single player mode is literally a clone of Mario Kart’s usual layout, right down to the 50, 100 and 150 CC speeds.

Go back if you need to get more stars. Start off on the earliest stage that you don’t have three stars on, and work your way up to harder ones as you go. You’ll need a certain amount of stars to unlock levels later on in the game, so this is an easy way to get enough of them.
