Galcon 2: Galactic Conquest is an arcade style red vs blue strategy game for iOS and Steam. This one was the recipient of some Kickstarter love starting about two years ago, and it’s finally made its long awaited release date. Your goal is the same as before, which is to take all of the planets from your rivals, but now you get such fun as clans, betting, and even free for all MMO rounds. Read on for some tips and tricks for Galcon 2!
In the single player mode, the game is easy enough most of the time because it’s a reasonable pace. Make sure that your biggest planet stays so well stocked that there is no chance of it being taken over. Then once it’s essentially invincible, send your troops outward to take over planets from biggest to smallest.
Multiplayer mode is where the real challenges are, and once you get your Galcon ID, that’s the only mode available. You need to be extremely fast to stop yourself from getting taken over right away. Win enough times and you get to rank your flag up. The more experience you gain, the better your flag rank will be.
Don’t spread outward TOO quickly in multiplayer mode though as you are bound to get your big planet taken over quickly this way, and that is the one that you want to protect the most, at all costs. Keep winning and you can win Galcon coins. These aren’t used for any performance enhancements, though, they are mainly only used to buy cosmetic enhancements, such as changing the look of planets or ships.
Make sure that you have a strong connection when you play this game. If you have a weak connection it will glitch and stop in the middle of a game, and it will look like you are still playing and gaining ships, but you won’t be taking over any planets, and neither will the other players, so you’ll have to quit out of the game manually at that point. Quit and find a better connection.
If you are on a team in team mode, you and your teammate should gang up on one opponent at a time, using your combined firepower to screw them and take over their big planet first and early to knock them out. If this is what you see someone else on your team doing, join them and help them get it done.
