Pocket Shrek – Tips, Tricks, Cheats, and Strategy Guide

Pocket Shrek is a new and bizarre virtual pet game for the iOS and Android platforms. Anyone who has ever played My Talking Tom or Angela or any of that series of games will find familiarity in the gameplay style here, except take out the cute animals and replace them with all of the burping, farting, wisecracking antics of everyone’s favorite cranky ogre. You can interact, play with Shrek, take care of him, then unlock a whole bunch of other characters. Read on for some tips and tricks for Pocket Shrek!

There is a built in feature in the in-app purchase store that allows you to watch videos in order to earn more gems. Go to Rumpelstiltskin’s store and hit the first option, for free gems. Once you watch the video you will earn a few gems and then the option will disappear. You can either wait for it to come back, or if you want to do it again right away, close the app (don’t minimize it, close it entirely), and then open it back up. Now go to Rumpelstiltskin’s store and the option will reappear to watch the video. You can do this as many times as you want.

After you take care of Shrek and make him fart until his fart meter is down to 0 percent (which happens fairly quickly, you’ll end up stuck waiting around unless you want to play the sticker game over and over. Farts are the main method of gaining experience points, so in order to refill the fart meter instantly, go to the date and time menu and set it ahead for a few hours, then go back to the game and make him fart again. Do this as many times as you want, although if you decide to set the time back to normal later it’s going to send the meter right back down to 0%.

After you complete a set of stickers, you will be able to play a mirror game. The more faces in the mirror that you get, the more coins that you earn; after you earn three faces (which is based on your performance in the game), your earnings for each time that you replay it will be additional coins based on performance. You’ll unlock separate games too as you level up; play these for a miniscule amount of coins (although they tend to be more for experience points).

You’ll have a limited number of times that you can play the sticker games due to an energy limiter, but once you run out of energy, do the time lapse cheat again and set the time ahead in your date and time settings, then go back to the game and all of your energy will be restored. Combine that with the added fart capacity each time that you do the time trick, and you can unlock more sticker sets at high speed, allowing you more games with the magic mirror and a huge amount of coins to earn.

Shrek needs to sleep every once in awhile, and when you put him to bed, he will stay there and rest no matter whether the app is on or off. If you want to have him fully rested right away then do the same trick as before with the time lapse, and set the time ahead after you put him to bed. Otherwise if you don’t want to mess with the time on your device, then put him to bed before you personally turn in for the night, then when you wake up and play the game again, he will be 100% rested as well.
