Hellrider: Tip, Tricks, Cheats, and Strategy Guide

Hellrider is a new iOS endless running app that’s just recently hit the app store and become a smash hit. Think Swing Copters but with a flat polygon look, as your motorcycle-riding hero races through the depths of hell, smashing into the skeletons to re-kill them, while dealing with constant directional changes and other assorted obstacles. Read on for some tips and tricks for Hellrider!

You don’t get any points for doing anything in this game EXCEPT for hitting the skeletons, so make sure that you hit them and you don’t let them pass by. If you hit one, stay in the direction you were going and you will hit the whole row of them and rack up points quickly. You want to try to hit as many as possible before the stage gets hard and you have a whole bunch of other junk to contend with.

Watch out for the various obstacles such as the rock formations, as if you hit these, you will lose and have to start right over. If you do hit them, then you will die. Watch out for the rock overhangs, though. They can be hard to pick out from the regular formations at first, but you will just ride right under them rather than hit them. Know how to tell them apart because if you can’t tell them apart, they will just look like more walls.

The bosses can be rather difficult to defeat, due to throwing bombs at you the entire time, with fireballs raining down from the sky on top of that. Wait until the boss drops a bomb that does not have a lit fuse. Run into it and you’ll pick it up, and an arrow will pop up aiming from side to side. Tap to stop the arrow when it’s facing the boss (or in the boss’s path), and when the bomb hits the boss you’ll beat it.

If you change directions while the stage is rotating, then when the stage finishes rotating you will just end up sliding straight. This can put you at an advantage in some cases, although you will still have to rotate again and change directions once an obstacle comes at you again.

Make sure to grab every continue that you see. A continue is denoted by the V-shape that you can collect. Once you die, you can hit the continue to come right back to life. This is necessary because you’ll tend to die fast in this game at first, and even after playing it for quite awhile.
