Earthcore: Shattered Elements: Tips, Tricks, Cheats, and Strategy Guide

Earthcore: Shattered Elements is a new and extremely graphically intensive CCG out on the iOS for fans of Hearthstone and other such games in the genre. On the surface this looks like all of the other CCGs out there, but the gameplay elements are so eccentric and even backwards that it turns into its own unique challenge. Of course, you can collect cards and other goodies on the way, too. Read on for some tips and tricks for Earthcore: Shattered Elements!

The battle system is what really makes Earthcore: Shattered Elements stand out from the crowd. The entire basis of the game is to beat your opponent’s element. Literally. Fire beats earth, earth beats water, and water beats fire. Then each card has a “risk” factor, which is the amount of damage dealt to the cardholder if that card loses.

Of course, it’s not all super simple and easy. The skills for each individual card really make the difference in battle. You can use one skill per turn, to do things such as swap spaces, take the element of the card next to you, or turn the opponent (or both of you) into dust. The skills are what make the battle, making for a ton of customization.

Take advantage of the card crafting system in this game to craft your own cards. Crafted cards have the potential to be more powerful than stock cards, plus they will have better skills. Watch out though as they will often have a higher risk factor, although that comes with the territory, really.

All in all, be sure to keep your deck stocked with an even number of water, fire and earth cards. There doesn’t have to be a perfectly equal number of them, but you should try to make it so that you have as close to equal numbers as possible, so that you don’t get caught off guard by another player who is strong in one element and weak in another element.

Skillwise, use them as often as possible and if all else fails or when in doubt, use an attacking skill. An attack skill is always good to use because it will wear down the opposing card holder gradually, slowly sucking away their hit points and making them much easier to beat, or easier to beat with bad card combos.
