PIXELS Defense – Tips, Tricks, Cheats and Strategy Guide

Pixels Defense is the somewhat surprising tower defense game based off of the new Adam Sandler movie Pixels. The movie is about aliens who send gigantic versions of video game characters to attack the earth by pixelating it, and like in the movie, you use a mix of your arcaders and other defenses to stop the gigantic game characters. Read on for some tips and tricks for Pixels Defense!

Each of the arcaders has slightly different attacks, so you’ll have to use them all to figure out what the differences are, but each one provides a huge boost in that they can block enemies while they are attacking. Move them around and use them to stem the flow of enemies down paths which are getting overwhelmed, especially if you are still waiting on more coins so that you can add or upgrade turrets.

Boss characters can seem tough at first but they are usually easy to beat. With all of the big bosses, the best strategy is to immediately move your arcaders over to where the boss appears, and stick them in the path of the boss, and let them attack. They will slow down the boss a little bit, and if they are right in front of the boss, the boss will push them forward, forcing them to move too, which extends the amount of time that the arcaders can target the boss for before you have to move them again.

If even that doesn’t get you past a boss, save up a bunch of coins so that you can place car cannons in the path of the boss. The car cannons will suicide-bomb anything that comes close to them, and while they are decent when it comes to beating large waves, they are exceptional when it comes to making short work of a boss, whether the boss be Pac-Man, Q*Bert, Galaga, Centipede or whomever.

If you lose at a stage, pay attention to where each wave of enemy comes from, because the farther you get into the game, the more paths that they take. Use that to know where to put your initial towers before the first wave of attacks starts. Use this knowledge to know who to upgrade first, as well.

There are a lot of options in this game for what kind of defenses to build. For stronger enemies that come in smaller numbers, build the weapons specialist or the slowdown tower. For large waves of enemies, build the foxhole or the long-range tower (especially the long-range tower as it does splash damage and has a gigantic range). And of course, move your arcaders around as needed.

Your second arcader is always the one who has a speaking role in each specific stage. That means Brenner (Adam Sandler’s character) will never have a role because if you pick him he will always be the primary arcader. Whoever is the second/the one on the right that you pick, that will be the person who talks in the stage.
