Ball Jump is a new endless jumping game by Ketchapp for the iOS platform, and likely coming soon to Android as well. It’s like a polished, 2.5D version of the old Red Bouncing Ball game, except for the infuriating addition of platforms that shift and move as you approach them. Your goal is to try to cope with these movements in order to go as far as you can. Read on for some tips and tricks for Ball Jump by Ketchapp!
Each platform that you jump over is worth one point in this game. If you jump and land on the same platform, you will not earn any points. However, if you jump and make it to the next platform, you will earn one point. If you somehow jump all the way over one platform and onto another (say, if a platform is one square wide), you will earn two points for that.
Always keep your eye on the entire level ahead of you, at least that you can see, so that you do not get caught by surprise when the platforms start to shift. They typically will stop shifting when you get really close to them, so you can predict what their final shapes will be before you make the jump.
Also, try to jump as close to the edge of the platform as possible. This will give you a little bit of leeway as far as margin for error. If you jump too early then there’s a good chance that the blocks will disappear out from under you and you will fall. Jump later and you stand a better chance of making it.
If you start to get too frustrated then shut off the game for about half an hour and then come back to it a little bit later. You’ll find that you perform a lot better once the game is committed a bit to muscle memory, and your adrenaline is gone allowing you to focus a whole lot more easily.
If you want to get rid of the ads that pop up every so often, then set the phone or device into airplane mode before you play the game. It’s generally recommended not to do this though as that’s going to take food off of the table of game developers. Better to purchase ads-free mode so that you can get rid of the ads and have use of your phone at the same time.
