Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom is the latest in the series of Sonic endless runners by Sega for the iOS and Android platforms. In this one you form teams of up to three characters at a time so that you can run through the world, collect rings and bank them, and get as high of a score as possible. Read on for some tips and tricks for Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom!
Rings are the main currency of the game, but as always in Sonic games, if you hit an enemy without spinning or you hit one of the impenetrable objects, you will lose all of your rings. However, if you hit a land mass and die instantly, you will keep your rings, so if you are just hunting for some quick rings and need to die, look for a landmass and run in front of it.
Or, find a turnoff to the side and you will be able to use it to bank your rings. Once you enter the little alleyway on the other side of the turnoff, you can also change your character, so if you want to get more experience as a particular character, or just enjoy the advantages of using a specific character, such as their special moves, then switch over.
You can spend rings in order to upgrade each one of your character separately. For each upgrade, a small score multiplier will be added, but with a lot of upgrades, that small multiplier becomes a BIG one. With every fifth upgrade or so, you’ll get an experience points bonus for buying the upgrade also.
The missions are one of your best ways of earning experience, rings, and of earning free red rings. Be sure to tap on the missions menu so that you can see what’s current. When you complete a mission, a pop up will appear at the top of the screen in the middle of the round.
Each consecutive time that you bank your rings in a single round, you add another ring multiplier. For example, the third time that you bank your rings, if you have 54 rings, they will turn into 162 rings when you bank them. So bank as many times as possible, even when you barely have any rings to bank, just so that you can add to the giant multiplier.
