Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector – Tips, Tricks, Cheats, How to Beat, and Strategy Guide

Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector is the long-awaited translated version of the epically popular Japanese cat-collecting game. It’s an extremely simple concept where you stick food and toys on your cat patio, and then see how many cats you can get to come up and start playing and eating. Read on for some tips and tricks for Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector!

You have quite a few toys that you can put out into your yard in this game, some of them costing silver fish and some of them costing gold fish. One isn’t necessarily better than the next one; each toy merely attracts a specific cat. The more expensive the toy (especially the ones which cost gold fish), the rarer the cat and the less frequently they will tend to show up.

As far as food goes, all of the cats will eat any food that you put out there. However, the more premium the food is, the more frequently the cats will begin to show up. In addition, the more expensive food also has a higher chance of attracting the rarer cats that come to play with the expensive toys.

When the cats show up, they will bring you gifts and leave them when they go away. They will even bring gifts if you forget to check the app for awhile and then check it after they’ve left. In addition, they will show up in your cat diary as well, even if you didn’t see them because you didn’t log on while they were there.

If you set the time ahead on your phone, you can get the cats to show up early, without having to wait for them, either so that you can see them or so that you can get the gifts that they sent you. However, if you set the time back to normal after that, then the game won’t update until the real time reaches the time that you had set your phone to to begin with.

Check your game frequently and collect the gifts frequently, as this allows you to have gifts show up more often. Each gift contains either silver fish or gold fish, the two currencies of the game. Keep coming back and collecting them in order to earn enough to buy more food and goodies.

You can come back and take pictures of the cats any time that they show up. To do that, simply tap and hold on the cat until the picture window shows up, then tap the little camera icon that appears. The picture will be saved to your cat diary to whatever album that you want to save it to.
