Quitting the Game
- When you want to quit the game, click the computer button in the bottom right corner in the screen. You will be then asked how long you are going to stop playing the game. There are three options. Pause, Slow, or Normal.
- Choose the pause mode if you won’t be playing for a week or more, because the game will not do anything while you are not playing.
- Choose the slow mode if you won’t be playing for a few days, because time in the game will progress slowly while you are not playing. Your characters will still collect resources, grow, and die, so it isn’t a good idea to leave them too long like this.
- Choose the normal mode if you won’t be playing for a day or less, because the game will progress at the same speed as when you are normally playing. This speed would be good for a few hours break; but, if you leave for longer than a day, all of your characters may grow old and die before you return.
Using the Map
- There is the map in the bottom right of the screen where you can see all the characters’ locations and conditions.
- The blue dots signify adults who are working.
- The yellow dots signify adults who are not working, i.e. relaxing, sleeping, or eating.
- The light blue dots signify kids.
- The red dots signify characters who are sick.
- You can move quickly to a location by clicking the white square in the map.
Other Tips
- Refer to the image for a layout of the screen while playing.
- Always try to put characters on jobs that they like. Even if two characters have the same skill level, the character who likes the job will go much faster.
- If you have extra characters with nothing to do, put them on any job or use potions to change what job they like.
- Once you have a school, put the children in when they are born. If a child enters the school right after being born, they will be a master of whatever job they study by the time they reach adulthood.
- You will always need more scientists than anything else. When you are able, switch some characters to scientists, so that you have enough.
- If you get stuck, look around and mouse over anything that doesn’t look like part of the scenery. It will give a progress meter, or tell you what you can do with it if it is task you need to accomplish.
- If you cannot complete a task yet because you do not have a certain science upgrade, the game will tell you. Any adult can do any job, so it is almost always the science upgrade or a building that you need to build to continue.
- After the tutorial, the game can be played in any order you want. This walkthrough only represents one way of finishing the game.
Zodiac Key 1: Taurus
Exploring
