So.... I was on my shaman the other day and realized that I made a crap ton of money in like...no time. I was wondering if anyone else knew the trick that I was using. I asked my friend, who wanted me to buy a haunted momento from him for 25k so he could fund his new rogue, if he knew the method I was using...and he didn't! Now-a-days prices are STUPID in the AH. I mean.....you have an item that dropped in Firelands...which no one even runs anymore since the latest patch...going for 20k plus. Come on guys! What do they even DO with all that money? And we won't even go in to the stupid enchants...OMG. All I want is a power torrent guys....I mean really. Anyways... *rant off*, here is my method for you for free!
First off you want to get the following addons:
Auctioneer: allows you to check average prices and put things up on the AH quickly.
Auctionator: allows you to buy items from the AH in bulk.
Gatherer: This one is the real gem. It allows you to track the node that you gather from so you can return to the places you know the items you're after are most abundant. It also catalogs other people who have gatherer in your party/guild/raid where they gathered their nodes from and saves it to yours. You can also have someone upload their gatherer to yours and it gives you all of their nodes.
After you get these, you're all set to start farming. Hit Uldum for the ore, and Twilight Highlands if Uldum is too packed. Also the best place to farm for herbs is Twilight Highlands for the twilight herbs there, or Azshara's Veil in Vashj'ir as these 2 sell for the most since they make the highest selling flasks on the AH. This is literally all I did to make 25k in 2 days...no joke. I spent about 4 hours on each day just farming these and creating red gems on my jewelcrafter that sell for 300-400g a pop after prospecting the ore. With the green gems I made green rings and necklaces...and sold the ones that were made as blues for 200-300g a pop, and sent them to my enchanter to disenchant. Then I made the highest selling enchants and sold them as well. All it takes is farming some ore and some herbs! Remember that the herbs sell for more than the flasks on most servers, so just sell the herbs.
More guides exist out there, and don't be afraid to use them now! Most guides are a scam yes, but there are a lot out there that work wonderfully. They are created by people who put a lot of time and effort in to what they do, as they create more guides than just for World of Warcraft, and try to make a living off of their books. It's really no different than going to Gamestop and buying the very very crappy guide from them. Good luck out there guys!
