New DLC For Modern Warfare 3: Black Box, Black Ice And Negotiator

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has a new addition coming to their DLC family today! (March 13th) The DLC includes a new multiplayer map called Black Box where Air Force One has crash landed in something that looks like the back yard of Beverly Hills. This map appears to be a smaller map with what looks like some close-quarters combat but this is just speculation based of the short teaser trailer on Call of Duty's website.

The next portion of the DLC is the first (and second) Spec Ops missions being added for Call of Duty Elite Premium users. The first Spec Ops mission is called Black Ice and will be a co-op mission where you and your partner will get to drive snowmobiles (similar to Race or Time Trial in MW2) through hazardous icy terrain filled with agitated henchman, with the intention of blowing up a diamond mine that is probably funding some shady dictator or something. Remember when destroying this mine that some slaves probably worked really hard on that and you're just gonna blow it up! I hope you're proud of yourself...

The next Spec Ops mission is called Negotiator. This map starts out with your partner (or you) being held hostage and requires you to kill all the clueless assailants and free your friend before continuing on to free all the other helpless citizens of this little town. This map looks like it is going to feature more slow motion than both Sherlock Holmes movies combined, and that's saying something!

All three additions to Modern Warfare 3 will be welcomed by the Elite subscribers who own Xbox 360's however, and this next bit of information will probably frustrate a lot of people, (especially PlayStation 3 users) but Call of Duty has announced that Xbox 360 non Elite members will be able to purchase the entire content pack #1 which includes Piazza, Liberation, Overwatch, AND Black Box, Black Ice, and Negotiator on March 20th. This is great for us who are Xbox 360 gamers but for our PS3 brethren they have to wait till March 29th just to get Overwatch! But alas, that is the way Activision and Microsoft set it up and there isn't anything we can do about it.

A full review of the new DLC will be up on XGR shortly after it's release today so keep an eye out for that.

As always, thanks for reading and have an awesome day!
