Mage Leveling Guide - Arcane Mage Talent Leveling Build & Leveling Spec

The Mage class are a great class to play in WoW and have some awesome abilities which will help them level up faster. Although either of the three talent trees can be used in a Mage leveling build, I would recommend either the Frost build or Arcane build as I have tested both these builds and found them to be extremely efficient.

For this particular Mage leveling guide we'll take a closer look at a decent Arcane build with slight Fire/ Frost hybrid mix. The nice thing about this build it is suited for both PvP and PvP scenarios as well as a decent build for both solo questing and leveling.

Although this is a hybrid build, it's straight forward to apply as there are 4 talents that aren't used in this Arcane build which are; Improved Counterspell, Invocation, Prismatic Cloak and Improved Polymorph.

To start the Arcane build I'd take the Netherwind Presence followed by the Arcane Concentration abilities and move down the talent tree from there. Then you're going to want to take Blink Speed which is a nice ability for leveling as it will momentarily increase the Mage's speed after casting the Blink spell. Then I would definitely take Improved Arcane Missile and I recommend you use the Arcane Missiles Prime Glyth to make this build effective.

From there you can move down the talent tree again and take the Missile Barrage ability which is another nice ability for leveling quickly. Next you're going to want to take the Presence of the Mind and Arcane Flows abilities before moving down the talent tree again.

The next ability you'll want to take is Arcane Tactics followed by Improved Arcane Explosion and Incanter's Absorption. Now you can move down the talent tree again where you'll first want to take the Slow ability followed by the Arcane Potency and then the Nether Vortex ability which will allow you to move down the talent tree again.

In the next tier you just want to take the Improved Mana Gem ability and skip the Focus Magic ability. Most would take the Focus Magic ability but it really doesn't provide a lot if any value for leveling purposes.

Now you can move down the tree and take the Arcane Power ability to complete the Arcane Mage leveling build. Now you'll want to assign the remaiining talent points to some nice abilities in both the Fire talent tree and the Frost talent tree.

To start I would take both the Burning Soul and Master of Elements abilities from tier 1 in the Fire talent tree before moving down and taking the Blazing Speed ability which is nice for leveling.

To complete the Arcane Mage leveling guide I would take the Piercing Ice ability from the Frost talent tree which will compliment the build nicely. That will make for a nice leveling build and a pretty decent build for PvP scenarios.
