Assassin’s Creed: Unity guide – Sequence 4 Memory 1: The Kingdom of Beggars

By this stage the challenges are getting a little more sandbox-y and less linear, so you need to be proactive about achieving them. Any time you see a likely target, hit ’em with a Phantom Blade, and you’ll knock over the first challenge by the end of the third mission objective. Your cherry bombs will have to wait for a little later in the mission, as you’ll want to be stealthy in the early objectives.

    Challenges

  • Four Phantom Blade Kills
  • Two Cherry Bomb Lures

Investigate la Cour des Miracles
Finding your target, La Touche, is a little more difficult than similar tasks to date. There’s quite a large area to check out for clues, and it can take quite a lot of aimless wandering around with Eagle Vision on to find him. Skip the search and head to the north-east corner of the mission area; he’s easy to spot from any high point at this end of the map.

Tail La Touche
Now that you’ve found him, you’ve got follow him. You can opt to shadow him in the streets but it can be a bit touch and go down there; the rooftops are a safer bet, although you’ll have to deal with a few guards. Take a couple down with your Phantom Blade to get you on your way to completing the optional challenge. Eagle Vision is a big help here, as it makes it much easier to keep an eye on your position in relation to La Touche. Trail him until you trigger a cutscene.

Find La Touche
Before you find La Touche, take out a few more guards with the Phantom Blade in order to complete the optional objective. Once that’s complete, use whatever means you think necessary to clear out the guards either on or staring at the balcony of the building La Touche is in; this is your point of entry. There’s one more guard inside, so stay alert, and if you’re into collectibles do grab the Artifact on the wall. Otherwise it’s just a matter of heading downstairs to interact with the door to trigger a cutscene.

Escape the Clinic
Time to away on your toesies. Confound your foes by instantly trotting straight back up the stairs and out onto the balcony you used to enter the building, then chucking a cherry bomb at the guards. With any luck this will net you the optional challenge, but if not, head up to the rooftops and look for any knot of enemies to lob another one at. Once you’ve had your fun, go on the lam; it’s not hard to get away.
