Watch Dogs Guide: Hope Is A Sad Thing Guide

At the start of act 3 you will need to find a legendary hacker in the mission Hope is a Sad Thing. He is hidden well so you will have to do a bit of running around in order to find him. This guide will help you get through the mission with no trouble at all. Let’s get started.

Hope Is A Sad Thing

Before you can do this mission you have to disable the ctOS station in the area. Don’t be afraid to just kill everyone in order to take it out. I used my silence pistol and just snuck around taking them out one by one using the environment as distractions.

Once you start the mission head over to the hack point and attempt to hack. Once the password is reset you will have to find out who has the code. Down below on the docks I found the guy to hack. Now go back and hack the computer with the new code. After that you will have to get into the ctOS tower up the mountain. The door to the tower is locked so use the cameras on the satellite dishes to find the unlock switch. Now head down to the objective and use the camera behind the locked door. Use the access panel to go to another camera and use that one to hit an unlock switch.

Now get out of the camera and head back up to ground level. There is one satellite platform you can climb up to near a locked door and near the antenna. Climb up and use the antenna to move the platform to another locked door. The the right of the door there is a tower with a camera on it you want to use. With that camera switch to the one on the satellite and use the unlock switch. Now go up to the roof and up the set of stairs up there onto another dish. If you cannot get onto this dish use the antenna to move the platform. From there use the cameras to gain access to the antenna again and you will connect to a another satellite dish. Connect to that dish then use the antenna one more time to move over to a lift point. Bring the lift up if you haven’t already then take it down to the floor. Take the steps down and go behind the unlocked door.

When you are underground look behind the door to see an explode point. Blow that up then go back up the steps to avoid behind hit by the pipe blow out. Once it’s clear go through the door. Keep following the path until you find the unlock switch and use it. Now you can go back up and access the ctOS tower. Now you need to go to the bar and find Kenney. When you find him you will have to do a mini drinking game. Basically move the cursor over the button and press the button, if it is a ? you can see what button it is by scrolling over it.

After the cut scene you will have to retrieve the truck for T-Bone. Kill all the guards in the area with explosions and silenced weapons then steal the truck. Lure them to the trap on the map and kill as many as you can with the trap then get out and take cover. Kill any enemies left and don’t destroy the truck! After they are all taken out you will beat the mission.
