The new Mists of Pandaria expansion in World of Warcraft has seen a new race known as the Pandarens who's homeland is the new starting area in Mists of Pandaria.
You'll generally find that the new quests for the starting area have selected carefully to best suit the new race and class!
There's two main reasons for this; firstly they are designed to help you get the through the first few levels without to much difficulty and secondly to help you get to learn the features and attributes of the character you're playing!
All earlier expansions for World of Warcraft also introduced new races into the game to play for both factions!
For instance when the Cataclysm expansion was rolled out we were given the new Worgen race for the Alliance faction and the new Goblin race for the Horde faction. Not only that but were also two new starting areas for each of the factions.
The new Mists of Pandaria expansion has seen a new system integrated into the game where players will now complete a series of quests within the starting area before choosing which of the factions their Monk will join!
Your are going to start off by recruiting a group of elemental spirits which you will then take with you as you set off to find the temple which is located in the center of the starting area.
The starting area is actually likened to ancient China as you embark on a journey through forests filled with bamboo and acres upon acres of farmlands as well as visit some picturesque temples.
The rather humerus storyline begins to unfold as you catch a ride in a hot air balloon after the spirits have been recruited and encounter a rather disgruntled turtle who appears to have a thorn stuck in him!
As you approach though you'll soon realize that it's not a thorn and instead an airship that seems to have crashed which you're going to have to remove!
A series of basic quests and challenges will unfold and need to be completed as you investigate the crashed airship which eventually you're going to have to remove by literally blasting the airship free of the turtle which leaves a rather nasty wound on the turtle!
Ouch!
As the turtle now has a gaping wound it is your job to recruit healers to get the wound fixed, you'll also have to protect the healers you recruited from the mobs while they perform their magic and heal the turtle.
Once you have completed this step and the turtle is healed you'll be close to completing the starting area, next you'll need to head to the temple from which you left and once you arrive you will have the option to choose which faction to play for.
Next you will hop onto the hot air balloon again where you'll now be dropped off at your first big city where you will then go about questing and leveling until level 85.
For Levels 85-90 you'll return to the Pandaren continent to complete the final levels 85-90 before unlocking the end game content.
If you're wanting to level your Pandaren Monk in the fastest time possible then an up to date power leveling guide such as Dugi's Ultimate WoW Guide will cover all the new questing zones as well as all the new professions which is going to be increased to level 600 to max out.
Remember Mists of Pandaria is still in beta at the time of writing this article and WoW Guides was granted access to the beta where we've documented our findings and shot screencaptures for you to really get ahead in Mists of Pandaria.
