Who remembers the hours of enduring infantry and tank action on the most well remembered Battlefield 2 map: Strike at Karkand? Well if your a hardcore BF2 fan how could you forget, and if your new to the game you need to read this as without visiting these Frostbite 2 revamped original maps you will never be able to consider yourself a Battlefield veteran. You must pre order battlefield 3!

Strike at karkand was the most popular Battlefield 2 map, and probably the best online warfare map ever created! It is unique being the only map which disallows aircraft, and is the most used map on the infantry only servers. The highly cramped town is surrounded by open terrain allowing sweeping fields of fire, giving the ultimate mix of sniper fire from the hills and fields, anti tank missile ambushes from the back alleys of the town and booby traps lurking around each corner where snipers have defended their corner with a sneaky claymore.

This map is back and available to only those who pre order battlefield 3, with a whole new level of complexity and fun utilising the new Frostbite 2 engine thanks to its introduction to vast amounts of physical destruction. Tear down buildings and expose those who would normally catch you with a booby trap, or trap them under the debris of the falling building. I just cannot wait!

Again rebuilt using the new Frostbite 2 engine. I really did not think Battlefield 2 could be improved, but this game is going to be an absolute blast!
