PVP Gear weakened make players focus more on skill and Prestige
In earlier days, Blizzard has announced that there won’t be gear with Resilience, PvP Power, dual item levels, or gear specifically made for PvP. They should make skills and classes independent of the gear, allowing each class display that in which he excels. Now it has come out that Blizzard is trying to make each spec feel unique. To accomplish this they are doing things like making Survival Hunters a Melee spec, and Demonology Warlocks are getting a greater emphasis on their demons.
