Many people have been involved in different kinds of gaming that made them addicted to them. These games have various categories to choose from and one of them is playing with the zombies. The Walking Dead Survival Instinct is one of the games that became a hit to many individuals out there. In The Walking Dead Survival Instinct review, you will find out how the game is played and more.
The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is the 2nd game based on a very popular TV show of the same name and is not based on comics unlike Travelers Tales game. In this game, the zombies will patiently wait for you let you cave their heads with your hammer. Survival instinct is the prequel to the Walking Dead TV series which is focused on the leather-vest aficionados Merle and Daryl Dixon. Both of these characters have been voiced by actors who are portraying them on this show. It is the instance wherein the game flirts with anything which resembles a high value of production.
The bulk of the Survival Instinct, a campaign lasts for 5 hours, is the hurriedly story of Merle and Daryl who navigate the countryside of Georgia on the road trip gone to hell. Every mission tends you to get involved running to one of very few survivors left in that town. These survivors will be asking you to retrieve something in exchange for sharing you what you needed. Because of that, it is considered as a game which is entirely composed of fetch quests.
There is an initial focus on both moving silently and swiftly and too much noise can draw the walkers’ attention. However, lingering around for some time can let them sniff you out. If you make too much noise, you can shove them back and look for the uncontested brain. If they are able to reach you, the game can trigger a very fast time event allowing you to shoot them instantly.
The fire axe and the crossbow are the main offenders. Crossbow lets you have a silent headshot from a distant and retrieve your ammo. The fire axe allows you to lop off instantly on the head of the walker. If you combined it with exploitable behavior of the zombie, you can steamroll your way to the whole 2nd half of this game.
One of the maddening things regarding this game is the fact that there are other interesting ideas which can make a novel experience when there is real tension undercurrent for you to care for them. The problem is that the zombies in this game are innocuous that you immediately reach the point where you get dead caring for any resources. It is almost similar to the survivor system; a mechanic allowing you to recruit followers to send out on a mission to scavenge the supplies while you are busy working.
For this kind of game bearing the word “survival”, there is nothing like a life-threatening journey through the country side of Georgia. It may be too bad for it is not actually a game with no strengths.
