Information Concerning Starcraft 2 Void Ray Tactics

For those of you that are playing as the Protoss race, we have some nice Starcraft 2 Void Ray tactics below for your usage.

This is an offensive air unit for the Protoss. This unit is designed mostly for engaging high health units and has a weapon that is able to focus on one single target which will increase the damage that will eventually be done by the weapon. Be aware of this when Protoss Void Rays yourself as well.



The Void Ray is built from the Stargate. The beautiful thing about it is that it does not have any required buildings or upgrades to be functional like many other things in this game. It will just send out a beam continually. It can also be an essential unit for harassing your opponent.

The crucial thing to remember is that while it is firing out this continual beam, it is charging to become more powerful which essentially means that it can destroy more things at an even more rapid rate.

After this is done, you will notice that the base damage will increase from a six to an eight. You can then use this along with a 20 percent bonus you will receive against those pesky massive targets. This thankfully makes the Ray powerful even against those powerful units and can also be used to destroy buildings.

If you find that your opponent's unit is moving while you are trying to use this unit, do not have any fear. This unit is also able to fire on the move provided that it is facing its target. This is perfect when you are up against a tough opponent.

The powerful Void Ray unit will attack anything that is within 40 degrees of its current direction when moving. The thing to remember about this however, is that targets will be chosen solely on the AI's target priority. This means it could switch targets on you while you are moving the Void Ray.

If the opponent spots your early Stargate they will be on guard and will anti[censored] te this sort of harassment early on, so remember that. Be on the lookout for anti air units because they are able to destroy the Void Ray. It can even be worse if the Void Rays have not been charged.

The good thing about the Void Ray is that the opposing player will be kept inside of their base when you are using this unit. It definitely does come in handy in a variety of situations.

As you can see, there are a variety of Starcraft 2 Void Ray tactics that are available to you if you do desire to use this unit. Read, practice, and be patient. It may take time to get these units to perform at their maximum potential, but believe us when we say that they are worth it.
