Final Fantasy XIII-2 Artefact Locations

In Final Fantasy 13-2 you need to find Artefacts to open time gates. I don’t think you need all of them to beat the game but if you want to 100% the game you will. This location guide will help you find all of them. Let’s get started!

Final Fantasy 13-2 Artefact location guide 1 – Giant’s Artefact – This one is on the main quest and really can’t be missed. I don’t recall if I got this off Atlas or in the mirror from the beginning area but either way it can’t be missed.

Final Fantasy 13-2 Artefact location guide 2 – Wild Artefact – This one is also during the main quest. At the Bresha Ruins you will come to an area with a time gate and a bunch of yellow guards. There will be a guy staring at some rubble and Kupo will fly over towards it. Talk to this guy then you can use Kupo to see invisible things. Use him then collect the Artefact.

Final Fantasy 13-2 Artefact location guide 3 – “Leaving” Gate Seal - In the Bresha ruins where you first come in at there are some stairs. Climb up those stairs and go to the right. You will see an invisible chest glimmer a bit. Use Mog then open it to get the item.

Final Fantasy 13-2 Artefact location guide 4 – Eclipse Artefact – This one is also in the Bresha ruins. After you beat Atlas go to the graveyard and in the corner Mog will go at it. Use him to see it then grab it.

Final Fantasy 13-2 Artefact location guide 5 – Reunion Artefact – After beating Atlas you need to go back the way you came. You should see a gated doorway on the way back with an invisible thing behind it. Use Mog to see that item and grab it.

Final Fantasy 13-2 Artefact location guide 6 – ‘Scars’ Gate Seal – While in Yaschas Massif you will have to go through a dark area with spot lights. They recommend you stay in the spotlight because the monsters are strong. As you go through you will run into a Chobocolina and near her is a box. Open it and get the Artefact.

Final Fantasy 13-2 Artefact location guide 7 – Hollow Artefact – After clearing the dark part of Yaschas Massif you will find an old friend. After following him around then watching a cut scene he will give you it.

Final Fantasy 13-2 Artefact location guide 8 – Artefact of Orgins – This is acquired after beating Oerba. Once you beat the boss grab it and the go unlock the time gate.

Final Fantasy 13-2 Artefact location guide 9 – Mysterious Artefact – This one is located Yaschas Massif -01. After speaking with an old friend it will appear on the map as a yellow !. Go to it and use Mog on it to get the Artefact. This Artefact will be changed when you use it on the gate in the Massif 001x.

Final Fantasy 13-2 Artefact location guide 10 – Wild Artefact – While riding on the back of the giant monster in Sunleth Waterscape you will get the ability to throw Mog. On the left side there is a large tree and you should see the Artefact floating about halfway through the ride.

Final Fantasy 13-2 Artefact location guide 11 – Mysterious Artefact – After defeating Mutantomato the ! on the map is this Artefact. You will need to toss Mog at it to get it.

Final Fantasy 13-2 Artefact location guide 12 -  In Sunleth Waterscape 300 AF – These are main quest Artefacts and you will need to fight a couple of Flan groups to acquire them. I didn’t write them down when I got them so I don’t recall their names. You need them to push on though so they will appear as a yellow ! on the map.

Final Fantasy 13-2 Artefact location guide 13 – Wild Artefact – This is in Bresha ruins 300AF. You need to go to the graveyard in Bresha and use the Mog to be able to talk to a guy. Once you do his quest it will appear next to him. There is a guide on the site for all the quests in the area if you need help.

Final Fantasy 13-2 Artefact location guide 14 – Tower Artefact – You automatically get this one after you beat Academia.

Final Fantasy 13-2 Artefact location guide 15 – Artefact of Rebirth – After beating the Augusta Tower 200 AF you will get this from someone.

Final Fantasy 13-2 Artefact location guide 16/17 (Thanks Dave) – Wild Artefact x2 – #1 Theres a Wild artefact for sale in Serendipity for 10k casino points, equivalent of 100k Gil. Or alot of luck with slot machines lol.

#2 Second Wild artefact missing is the one in Oerba 200 AF, where you first encounter Caius in a fight. It will be on a ledge, right side of a garage like building. It’s across the school on the top level of the area. You’ll need the “Throw mog ” fragment skill in order to get it.
