Mass Effect 3 War Asset Guide

During your journey in Mass Effect 3, you can collect various war assets to help with your struggle against Cerberus and The Reapers. This Mass Effect 3 War Asset Guide will list all the currently discovered assets and where you can obtain them. Note, collecting all of these drastically increases your chance of the perfect ending. To be able to achieve the perfect ending, you need to get 5000+ military strength. Bioware have also confirmed that you DON’T need to play multiplayer to achieve the perfect ending. The readiness will always be at 50%, ignore that. They also said there are plenty more War Assets than you need to get, so don’t worry if you miss a few.

Planet Scanning Assets

War Asset #4 – Javelin Missile Launchers
You need to search the planet Watson in Skepsis to obtain the Javelin Missile Launchers

War Asset #6 – Special Ops Team Zeta
You can find the Special Ops Team Zeta in Hades Game – Plutos – on the planet Nonuel

War Asset #10 – Pothean Data Files
Exodus Cluster – Utopia. Scan near Zion, the planet to the south west of the sun. Probe the planet to receive

War Asset #12 – Alliance Naval Exploration Flotilla
Exodus Cluster – Asgard Scan near the planet Tyr to get the war asset Alliance Naval Exploration Flotilla.

War Asset #13 – Alliance Special Ops Team Delta
Exodus Cluster – Asgard. Scan the planet to the south eastern corner, Loki, to probe the planet for the War Asset

War Asset #14 – Alliance Cruiser Shanghai
Exodus Cluster – Asgard. Scan Terra Nova, south east of the sun to be able to probe the planet for the War Asset

War Asset #15 – Alliance Frigate Agincourt
Hades Gama – Farinata, on the planet Juntuama, north of the sun

War Asset #16 Turian 79th Flotilla
Apien Crest – Gemmae, on the planet Pheiros at the north end of the system.

War Asset #23 – Black Market Artifacts
Kite’s Nest – Vukar. On the most Northern planet, you must be on the quest to get these. You must be on the Aria quest chain to recruit the Blue Suns and NOT kill the general.

War Asset #24 – Alliance Cruiser Nairobi
Head to Gemini Sigma – Ming, and scan the planet closet to the sun in the North Western direction, Parag. Then launch a probe to get this War Asset

War Asset #26 – Shadow Broker Wet Squad
Krogan DMC – Dranek. You need to have completed the mission with the Rachni before you can enter Krogan DMC.

War Asset #38 – Asari Cruiser Cybaen
Athena Nebula – Parnitha, scan the most North Western planet, Tevura

War Asset #39 – Asari Research Ships
Athena Nebula – Orisoni – Ebulek. Scan the most North Western planet to get the Asari Research Ships.

War Asset #40 – Asari Cruiser Nefrane
Athena Nebula – Tomaros. On the most Eastern planet Pronoia.

War Asset #41 – Asari Engineers
Athena Nebula – Ialessa. Most North Eastern planet, right on the edge, Trikalon.

War Asset #42 – Rachni Workers
When you have the option to run or help the Rachni Queen choose to help her. She will reward you with some workers.

War Asset #43 – Emergency Fuel Pods
Valhallen Threshold – Micah. Scan the planet North of the sun, Elohi

War Asset #44 – Element Zero Converter
Valhallen Threshold – Micah. Scan the tiny planet on the Eastern side of the section, Farlas

War Asset #45 – Interferometric Airway
Attican Beta – Hercules. Scan near the North Western planet, Eletania.

War Asset #46 – Exogeni Scientists
Attican Beta – Theseus. Planet Feros North East of the sun

War Asset #47 – Volus Fabrication Units
Aethon Cluster – Aru. Scan the Western planet Cherk Sab

War Asset #48 – Volus Dreadnought Kwulu
Aethon Cluster – Esori. Scan the planet in the far North Eastern sector, right on the edge.

War Asset #50 – Volus Engineering Team
Aethon Cluster – Satu Arrd – Nalisin. Scan the planet on the far Western side

War Asset #52 – Citadel Defense Force 12
Aethon Cluster – Aru – Planet Irune North of the sun. Collect the Book of Plenix and return it to the angry banker in the commons on the Citadel.

War Asset #53 Alliance Engineering Corp
Valhallen Threshold – Paz – Scan the only planet in the sector for the Prothean Data Drive and return it to the Soldier at the Normandy docks on the Citadel

Citadel/Quest War Assets
War Asset #1 – Diana Allers
Diana Allers is a news reporter for the Alliance News Network that are working on a show called Battlespace. She wants first hand experience on a human ship and where better to get that experience than the iconic Normandy. To recruit Diana Allers all you have to do is speak with her at the Passenger Lounge on the Citadel. Say yes to giving her a trial run and she’ll join your war effort.

War Asset #2 – Dr. Chakwas
You may remember her from previous Mass Effect games, to recruit Dr Chakwas all you have to do is visit the patient lounge on the Citadel and tell her she belongs on the Normandy. She’ll then join your ranks.

War Asset #2 Alternate: Dr. Michel
Don’t let Dr. Chakwas join you. then after your conversation talk to Dr. Michel across the hall and you can recruit her. Dr. Michel is the Dr. who ran the clinic in the ward of the Citadel in Mass Effect One. The one Garrus saved by killing a thug the first time you met him.

War Asset #3 – Alliance Reporter
I couldn’t remember her name if I tried but you can located the second Alliance reporter next to the elevator on the Citadel Embassies. You must have already spoken with the council, select the paragon interrupt option to get her on your side.

War Asset #5 – Ex-Cerberus Launchers
Obtained by completing the mission on planet Sanctum as a Special Ops assignment you get in email when you first leave the Citadel

War Asset #7 – Alliance 6th Fleet
Presidium Commons on the Citadel, speak to the two business men that are arguing about changing to military gear.

War Asset #8 – Citadel Defense Force
Talk to the couple arguing on the bench down the first set of stairs in Presidium Commons on the Citadel

War Asset #9 – Terminus Fleet
You can obtain the Terminus Fleet by completing Aria’s quest chain that you get from the club on the Citadel

War Asset #11 – Hanarr and Drell Froces
You need to buy the special med gel from the Spectre quarters on the Citadel. Then go to the medical area and give it to Dr Ravin

War Asset #17 Citadel Defense Force 2
Go to the medical area on the Citadel and you’ll hear an Asari Scientist talking about bio implants. You must complete the quest for the school and locate the item needed there. You can then go back to her and hand in the item.

War Asset #18 Citadel Defense Force 3
After saving the kids from the school, head to the Citadel and go into the Spectres quarters. There’s an email on the terminal requesting permission to give the students a room to practice in, authorize it to get this War Asset.

War Asset #19 Citadel Defense Force 4
Go to the Docks in the Citadel and speak with the civilian at the desk asking to be enlisted.

War Asset #20 Turian 7th Fleet 2
In the club on the Citadel, listen to a group of officers near the bar that are talking about low morale, they will mention the Banner of the 1st Regiment. Go to Castellus in Apien Crest and scan near the planet Digeris, south of the sun to find a Banner of the 1st Regiment.

War Asset #21 Batarian Fleet
You need to hand the Pillars of Strength in to the preacher at the dock bay in the Citadel. To find the item head to the Exodus Cluster and then to Harsa. Scan the planet Khar’shan to probe it for the item, Pillars Of Strength. Then return to the preacher.

War Asset #22 – Hanarr and Drell Froces 22
Complete the quest Hanar Diplomat on the Citadel and stop the virus being uploaded. You start the quest by speaking to Jondum Bau.

War Asset #27 – Terminus Fleet 2
Help General Oraka during Arias quest chain on the Citadel. Find the artifacts for the illegal weapons dealer to get this War Asset.

War Asset #29 – Citadel Defense Force 5
After the Cerberus attack on the Citadel, head to the Spectre’s quarters and authorize commander Bailey’s request to arrest a con man.

War Asset #30 – Citadel Defense Force 6
After the Cerberus attack on the Citadel, head to the commons and speak with a banker. He’s to the left as you get off the elevator speaking with someone about withdrawing their money.

War Asset #31 – Citadel Defense Force 7
After the Cerberus attack on the Citadel, head to the commons and down to the cafe. There’s a C-Sec volunteer arguing with the cafe manager for some vids, side with the C-sec guy.

War Asset #32 – Citadel Defense Force 8
After Cerberus has attacked the Citadel, go to the commons and speak with a soldier that is discussing another Cerberus trap. Give him the automated turret defense plans

War Asset #33 – Citadel Defense Force 9
Visit the hospital on the Citadel after the Cerberus attack, you’re Spectre terminal will get updated. Simply say yes to authorizing more medical supplies

War Asset #34 – Citadel Defense Force 10
After the Cerberus attack, head to the C-Sec offices near all the shops on the Citadel, side with the patient C-Sec officer. Then return to the Spectre terminal and authorize the training of civilian militia.

War Asset #35 – Citadel Defense Force 11
After getting Citadel Defense Force 7, head to Spectre terminal and grant access to private footage for C-Sec to investigate.

War Asset #36 – Batarian Fleet 1,2
After the Citadel attack you can get a quest from Officer Nolan near the stores. She asks you to track codes using your Spectre status. Find the final code and you’ll get ambushed. Convince him to join your to get the Batarian Fleet on your side.

War Asset #51 – Asari Research Team
You need to find the Hesperia Period Statue Artifact. Arcturus Stream – Vernio – Polissa, then hand it in to the Asari near the elevator in the commons on the Citadel.

War Asset #53 Asari 6th Fleet
Reward for completing the quest for the Military Trainer next to Aria in Purgatory.

War Asset – Citadel Defense Force
On the mission where you destroy the Geth jamming tower, there’s a datapad, hand it in to the c-sec officer on the commons in the Citadel.

War Asset – Alliance Sixth Fleet
Authorize the transfer of Private Talavi at the Spectre terminal. This is available after you destroy the Geth jamming tower.

War Asset – Selarian Third Fleet
Speak with Sellia in the Commons on the Citadel, he will mention needing heating stabilizers. You can then buy this from the Spectre terminal.

Normandy Assets (Quest related, mail related etc)

War Asset #55 Ex-Cerberus
Completing a quest for Admiral Hackett rewards you with more War Assets. You get the quest via mail and it asks you to attack a Cerberus base and deactivate the aerial defense systems.

War Asset #54 Ex-Cerberus
This one doesn’t actually tell you that you’ve earned a War Asset but it does give you 150+ points towards your military strength. At some point Specialist Traynor will tell you about some scientists that have separated from Cerberus and are in hiding. Choose to save the scientists you unlock this War Asset.

War Asset #37 – 103rd Marine Division
Head back to the Normandy after the Citadel attack and you can invite the report to your quarters for an interview.

War Asset #28 – Turian Bonus
Complete the mission to disarm the bomb with the Primarchs son.

War Asset #25 – Krogan Troops
Choose not to free the Rachni that the Reapers designed. During the mission to retrieve the Krogans specialist Unit after saving the Female.

War Asset #5 – Ex-Cerberus Launchers
Obtained by completing the mission on planet Sanctum as a Special Ops assignment you get in email when you first leave the Citadel

War Asset – Advanced Warship Fuel
After beating the mission N7: Fuel Reactors is completed you are rewarded with this. I choose to send someone to save the other team as well.

War Asset – Krogan First division, Krogan Clans, Clan Urdnot
(assume you need to have kept him alive in one)

War Asset – Krogan Mercenaries
Choose to cure the Genophage. You will miss out on the Salarian Fleets and scientists for the most part though.

War Asset – Grunt and Aralakh company
After the Rachni quest they will join you. If you don’t help the Rachni you get more of Aralakh company.

War Asset – Geth Corps, Geth Fleet, Geth Prime Platoon
At a point you will have to let the geth be upgraded or not let them get upgraded. Choosing to let them get upgraded gets you the Geth forces.

War Asset – Salarian Special Tasks Group, Salarian Third Fleet
After saving the Salarian conciliar

War Asset – Citadel Defense Force
Help Dr Silon find the treatment on the Citadel, medical area. It’s on the N7 mission, Fuel Reactors, in the first room you enter behind the guy in front of you and to the left.

War Asset – Turian Fleet
Bring the Turian tailored poison to the Doctor in room 4 in the medical center. You get it on the mission where you meet Jacob.

War Asset – Quarian Fleet
Say the Paragon answer when you’re in the interview after ending the war with the Geth.

War Asset – Citadel Defense Force
Collect the rings of alune for the Asari in the medical area of the Citadel. Silean Nebula – Teyolia – Nelos

War Asset – Citadel Defense Force
Complete the quest for the Angry Elcor in the club area of the Citadel. Silean Nebula – Phontes – Decuuna. It’s on the same planet as the other quest from the Elcor in the Embassy offices.

War Asset – Rogue Fighter Pilots
After you tell Steve to take some R&R on the Citadel, speak with him down there. After the first conversation he will move to the Memorial Wall in the refugee area, go there and speak with him to obtain the fighter pilots War Asset.

Mass Effect 2 War Assets

War Asset – Alliance Frigate Normandy SR-2- I don’t know if this comes automatically or only because i transferred my ME2 save, but i got 115 assets for it and if u read the note, at the bottom it has updates (which i assume for each of these u get extra assets) for each of the ship upgrades i purchased in ME2.

War Asset – Mineral Resources
Mineral Resources – Gained by scanning planets for resources in ME2 and transferring that game over to ME3, u get 25 assets for it.

War Asset – Zhu’s Hope Colonists
If you save the colonists of Zhu’s Hope in ME1 you get 30 assets for the war in ME3.

War Asset – Urdnot Wrex
If you let him live in Mass Effect one then he will help you as long as you cure the Genophage
