Kingdom Hearts 3D The Grid Boss Walkthrough

Kingdom-Hearts-Dream-Drop-Distance-Logo-Header

Making your way through The Grid is a blue and orange colorful adventure. There are tons of grind rails, link portals and treasure chests in this level that can really help level a character and dream eaters fast. Make sure to check around every corner because there will most likely be a chest waiting with surprises. The reality shifts are also very helpful in this map. When you come to the turrets that shoot at you make sure to activate the prize shot shift so you can get as many prizes, munny and fragments as possible! At the end of all the grind rails and small battles will be a tron boss battle. This Kingdom Hearts guide will be a tron boss walkthrough for players that can’t seem to get by Rinzler’s evil orange spinning disks or Commantis’s claws.

Riku Commantis Boss Walkthrough

Tron-Suit-Riku-Kingdom-Hearts-3D-Character-Art-256x300Lets sarting with the Riku’s walkthrough for defeating the Commantis. For me I was level 20, but that will be a little bit higher then what most people will be at before this boss fight. Anything over 18 is probably sufficient. My dream eaters were a level 14 R & R Seal, level 19 Wheelflower and a level 32 Pricklemane. My skills where Balloonga, Strike Raid, Thundara, Shadowbreaker, Dark Firaga, and Curaga. If you can get your links up to full before entering the boss it would be a pretty good idea. Also another good thing to plan for is counters. If you happen to have a special block or counter like Counter Aura it will be very helpful.

Riku’s boss is called the Commantis. And he is a pretty difficult boss because he has a wide range of different moves. One of them turns the Commantis into a top and he spins around violently. Try to stay away from this because it can corner you even in a round room into taking a lot of hits. Get on the flow-motion grind rails around the outside and get away when he starts to do this move.

Another one of his moves will plant mine crystals on the field of battle. Staying in the air is one of Riku’s specials so use it to your advantage. Try to jump dodge around when you are not attacking to stay away from these mines. They don’t cause a lot of damage, but they do hold you up and allow Commantis to get another hit in. Also they shoot off in your direction after 5 or so seconds if you don’t hit them so look out for chasing yellow mines. Again the rails around the outside are a good option for dodging.

Commantis has a move to stop you from staying on the flow-motion side rails. He will wheel around the whole map with a yellow barrier. If you see this yellow barrier make sure to jump off of the flow-motion rail towards the center of the map. Even if he does hit with this move it really doesn’t do too much damage. Just make sure to look out for it.

Every once in awhile there will be a reality shift that will be available during the boss. Make sure to take advantage of these. The reality shift will jam the energy going to the Commantis. This will leave you with a wide open shot to fire off some skills, spells and attacks on the crippled Commantis.

Sora Rinzler Boss Walkthrough

Tron-Suit-Sora-Kingdom-Hearts-3D-Character-Art-162x300Lets move on to the Sora walkthrough for defeating the Rinzler. For me I was level 24, but that will be a lot higher than what most people will be at before the boss fight. Anything over 18 is probably sufficient. My dream eaters were a level 14 R & R Seal, level 19 Wheelflower and a level 32 Pricklemane. My skills where Balloonga, Fire Windmill, Thundara, Thunder Dash, Strike Raid, Blizzara and Curaga. If you can get your links up to full before entering the boss it would be a pretty good idea. Also another good thing to plan for is counters. If you happen to have a special block or counter like Counter Rush it will be very helpful.

Ritzler is most of the time a melee fighter. He will come at you with disks in hand and take swipes at you. Most of the time he will take two swipes at you. Block them or dodge out of the way and get in a couple of hits or spells of your own. If you do have a counter it is pretty easy to block and then counter his disk attacks.

Every once in awhile he will back off and throw his disks at you. When he does this make your way around him in a circular motion. His disks only really hit if you run straight at him. If you can get to the wall a flow motion slide will get you right back into battle.

After a while the battle ground will shift gravity. Don’t be to jared because of the flip. The controls are still the same so just keep on blocking, diving and moving around Ritzler. Take your opportunistic to hit or cast right after he is done slashing just like when you are on the ground and you will have him beat in no time.

After beating Ritzler you will get a nice cutscene with Sora, Tron and CLU. I thought the cut scene was intriguing so I don’t want to spoil it for you. Make sure if you did like this guide to check out some of our other Kingdom Hearts Guides like:
