The Cave Guide – The Circus Ticket Puzzle Guide

The Cave, a game made by Ron Gilbert and Double Fine Productions is a 2D side scrolling puzzle quagmire. We will documenting our journey through The Cave and will be posting up stopping points along the way for anyone that may need some help. Getting Through the Circus Puzzle

The Circus puzzle is a part of The Cave that is dedicated to the Hillbilly character. You must collect tickets to get a pink stuffed bear to impress the amazing two legged lady. Finding all of these tickets can be puzzling. Don’t worry though, Gamers Heroes is here to show you the easy way to get all the tickets in this section.

The Free Ticket

The first ticket is the easiest. All you have to do is grab the ticket from the two kids to the left of the ticket booth. The rest of the tickets won’t be so easy, so be happy that this one is.

The Dunk Tank Ticket

You can tackle the rest of the tickets in pretty much any order you like. The second easiest one to get is the dunking tank. Basically all you have to do to get the ticket is have a character on the platform while another one presses the dunk button. A ticket will pop out and can be turned in.

Test Your Strength Machine Ticket

Another ticket that can be grabbed is the test your strength game. Now for this you need a bigger hammer. If you go up the rope and continue upward there is a second area. For this you will need two characters. There are some carnies blocking the big hammer on the left side of this second area. If you have the time traveler, she can scoot past them, otherwise it is kind of a process.

Take one of the characters up the rope, and then to the left before going to high up. Pass to the left of the Wheel of Misfortune and continue upwards. Eventually you will get to a generator and a wrench. Keep this character there.

Now you will need another character to be in this area of the big Ferris Wheel. Ride it around until you get to the spot with a fuse box. This fuse box is to electric to take out the fuse, but if you switch to your character by the generator, they can turn off the power for a little bit.

Switch off the power with one character and use the other character to grab the fuse out of the fuse box. You can then take this fuse over to the attraction to the left that has dancing girls. Climb the electric pole up to the Exotic Clothed Dancers fuse box. This will get the carnies to move away from the large hammer. Take the large hammer down to the Dunk Tank machine and you can grab your ticket, the hard way.

The Wheel of Misfortune Ticket

The Wheel of Misfortune is a lot easier than it looks at first. You need to grab the fuse out of any of the fuse boxes that you used for the above parts. With that fuse go to the right of the Ferris Wheel. There will be a fortune teller in this area that needs to be powered by the fuse. It doesn’t seem like the fortune teller is saying anything, but if you look closely his magic ball will turn a color. Have the fortune teller read your future, note the color of the ball, and then head back to the wheel and guess that color. You will win a ticket and be done with those two attractions.

Guess Your Weight Machine Ticket

This guy is really good at guessing weight, but you can trick him. There is a magician that can make things disappear. When he makes his cupcake disappear at first, grab it off of the table. Head upstairs and directly to the right of the Ferris Wheel there is a dumb bell that the relatively strong person is using. Drop the cupcake and take the weight back to the magician who is bellow and to the right of the Ferris Wheel if you need a reference and just to the left of the Fortune Teller.

Put the weight on the table and the magician will make it disappear. Then you can pick up the weight and take it back to the Guess Your Weight Machine. The carnie will guess wrong because you have an invisible weight. Grab the ticket and return it to get the pink teddy bear.

After doing all that the amazing two legged women still won’t be yours. Return to the prize booth, collect the free ticket again from the kids to the left and set the place on fire. From there you have to take the Hillbilly down the dunk tank with the wrench from the generator to spray the hay bales. After spraying the hay bails you can leave the area.
