Fire Emblem: Awakening is all about strategy and a numbers. So what happens when you progress in the story and you feel like the numbers are against your favor? This Fire Emblem: Awakening Fast Leveling Guide will go over the best ways of gaining experience fast. If you would like any more help with Fire Emblem: Awakening after you read this guide, you should check out our Guide Collection Page that has a ton of helpful links. Alright let’s level up our troops!
The first thing your going to want to do if you want to level up fast in Fire Emblem: Awakening is change a few of the settings when you are in a grind mission. The list here below will make it so that you don’t have to watch cut scenes or even really play to much. These settings help matches go by super quick so that you don’t have to waste to much time with the frills. Set the same settings as are listed below and then you can move on to the two different strategies for guiding.
Fast Leveling Grinding Settings:
Now when you are in your grinding level you can just hit auto and let it fly. You will have to touch the controls a couple of times during the match but you shouldn’t have to do to much. Make sure to save before you try this method on any levels as people can die if you try to grind with to strong of enemies.
The first method I am going to talk about has to do with using a Reeking Box. Now these Reeking Boxes can be found in Chapter 3′s store and only cost around 500g. What the Reeking Box does is drop a group or risen up on the map. These enemies will be a great way to grind relationships and grind levels in Fire Emblem: Awakening.
The Reeking Box will spawn enemies based on the location that you use it in. The idea is to use the Reeking Box in one of the earlier chapters for a low level character and then go from there. Pair two relatively low level characters, or a low level character and a high level character, and let them battle it out with the low level Risen. You don’t have to have a certain amount of allies on these levels so it is good to take only what you need. Sometimes I bring a high level healer just in case.
Make sure to save before you start any match in case you die while trying to do these things quickly. What I like to do, is pair two low level characters, turn off animation, run them into the middle of the map an let the enemies come to me while my healer stays out of the way of being hit. You can speed this process up even faster by going through the menus and switching some options that are mentioned above. By doing this route you can gain a full leveled character with an S rating in less than an hour. Usually takes about 6-8 Reeking Boxes.
The second method for leveling up fast in Fire Emblem: Awakening is a lot like the first method but doesn’t cost any gold. There are downloadable characters available under the “wireless” option of the menus. You can drop down these characters as much as you want and fight them as many times as you so choose.
This is a great option for characters that are already leveled quite a bit but you would like them to get even farther. These character that you download are quite strong. You probably won’t be able to take them on with just one or two characters like you can with the reeking box method. Either way you can grind out a decent amount of xp and relationship statuses by keeping together in a group.
Now, if you also have downloaded the DLC maps that have been put out by Nintendo then you also have this option for grinding out levels. The Marth DLC was free for a a little bit after launch, but if you didn’t get it you will have to pay either $2.50 per map or $4.00 for a bundle of 3. The missions are a good place to grind in between Chapter 5 – Chapter 10.
Those are my two methods for grinding out levels in Fire Emblem: Awakening. I hope that this will help you guys get ahead of the game, especially if you are playing hard mode.
