Your first step in Majora’s Mask 3D is finding the Great Fairy in Clock Town. The city isn’t very big but you will need to do more than just find the Fairy Fountain in the area. This guide will help you find the Great Fairy in Clock Town!
After talking with the Happy Mask Salesman and arriving in Clock Town go to the North doorway. Head up the stairs to the left or right of where you enter Clock Town at and take the doorway up at the top of the next set of stairs. Once you are in North Clock Town go up the ramp and into the cave in that area. This is the Fairy Fountain that would normally have the Great Fairy inside. Go into the pool and all the smaller Fairies will tell you to the Stray Fairy in Clock Town. Leave the Fountain and talk to Tingle who will sell you a map for 5 rupees. If you don’t have 5 rupees just break the bushes in that area and you should get enough.
The map will help you find out where to go next when I call out the area. Head back to the South area of Clock Town and keep going south until you see some stairs leading up. Take those stairs to the Laundry Pool and you can see the Stray Fairy in the water. The Deku Nut cannot swim but it can bounce on water a few times. Bounce over the water and grab the Stray Fairy on your way across, this can only be done during the day time. I messed around during my first day so I had to wait until the second day to actually collect the Fairy.
Return to the North part of Clock Town and enter the Fountain to restore the Great Fairy. She will give you Magic so you can use your Bubble Power as the Deku Scrub. After you get the power you can move on with the game and start going after Skull Kid!
