Each of the characters falls into a number of different vitality categories. This determines how much damage the character can take before they will be down and unable to fight for the rest of the match. It is important to consider how things work out for your team. While there are number of powerful chatracters, many will have a lower vitality as a balance point (Phoenix is a perfect example)
