Just after the briefing, head on out to and down 2nd and turn left up Los Angeles St to make your way to Ray's Cafe. Time to go over the site and find the clues that are scattered about. The first one is obvious with the body of the victim, search the left inner pocket of the jacket to find Pattison's Life Insurance policy. On the other side you will find his wallet with his operator's license. That takes care of everything for the body. When Cole gets up, he talks with the coroner and we learn that the car had a prominent hood ornament. Next up, head to the road a short ways, following the blood trail, though try not to walk in the blood. Investigate the pool of blood to get the clue. Next is another bit of blood by the pair of the lights they have on the ground. Keep following the road the same way to find skid marks showing the driver hit the breaks before impact. Now, before you talk with the woman, investigate a little into the alleyway nearby the Cafe. You want to look into the trash can by the large dumpster. You will find a knife in there. To get it as a clue you need to rotate it to the upper right, around there you will see the screen zoom in some, eventually revealing its a stabrite stainless steel. This is now added to your notebook. Finally, step into the bar and talk with the bartender. On the bar though, you will find one of the newspaper clippings. Feel free to look into it.

You are in the bar again. Head straight back to reach the telephone and call in the car to get what information you can. Head over to the bartender, Dudley and talk with him again to see what he has to say about the new option, argument overheard in bar.

A few options now, either going after the Pattisons or Shelton. There is also a street crime around Flower and 6th st. I recommend Shelton for excitement and getting a helpful hint for the coming talk.

Shelton Residence
The pair arrives then stakes out the car. When Shelton appears he has his bags packed. In typical fashion, he makes a break for it. Time for a chase. Either run the car down or when he makes it to the train station, cut him off so he can't escape. He does reveal a helpful little clue about the argument that wasn't previously known though.

Another Street Crime may appear at 9th and Hope at this point.

Walk on up to the door and knock. She'll let you in and take a seat nearby.

Now head to a nearby phone, like the one on the street, call in and learn something new and interesting about this whole thing. Time to head to the Central Morgue Office.

Things take an interesting turn for sure with the developments here in the Morgue. Listen and find yourself with an all clear for an arrest on Mrs. Pattison. Head back to the Pattison's.

Walk up to the door to start things off. Leroy bolts so it's time to chase this man down. Remember, just hold the Run and keep following him. Given long enough, he will take a hostage. Better to go for knees or head than anywhere else. Anything less than a lethal shot and he will attempt to kill the hostage.
