Diablo 3 Beating The Skeleton King

The first boss of Diablo 3 is called The Skeleton King. He is a large skeleton with a huge mace and has a ton of hp. This boss guide will help you bring him down in no time at all. Let’s get started.

This is best tackled by a group but if you really want to you could likely solo this guy. Remember to use the red orbs to keep yourself alive but don’t use them if you are at full hp. This is for normal.

First off is the Skeleton king’s abilities. As stated above he has a large mace and swings it in a huge are. Try to stay behind him which is easier when you are in a group.

He will also summon some skeletons which can be used to your advantage. These guys drop the red orbs that will heal you when your potions are on cooldown.

He has a defensive spell that makes him immune to CC like blind and stun. You can tell he is in this state because he is a bit see through.

He also can teleport around the area and will likely do this to attack one of you.

Now for the fight part of the Diablo 3 Skeleton King boss guide. Once you get to his throne put the crown on him and he will awaken. He should almost right away come at you swinging. Try to time it right so when his swing is about to hit you, you use your CC(Stun, blind, whatever stops him from attacking). This will let you do damage without taking any.

Avoiding his attacks are pretty simple because he is pretty slow. When he swings just get out of the way.

After a bit he will start to summon the skeletons. Use them to heal if need be or let him kill them himself. His wide arc attack can bring down a couple of skeletons at a time.

Keep avoiding his attacks and using the CC to counter him when you can.

At about 30% he will start to use the anti CC move and move at you more often. Try to avoid them when you can but expect a hit or two here. use the skeletons he keeps bringing up to heal.

Keep yourself out of his axe and keep hurting him until he drops. He really isn’t to hard.
