You get the mission "Subverting Karrels Javis" after completing "Soiree".
Open the mission log:
Subverting Karrels Javis
Now working undercover as the pirate "The Red Blade," you've been assigned to earn the trust of Karrels Javis - the weak ling in Nem'ro the Hutt's criminal organization.
Meet with Karrels in Nem'ro's palace and find a way to help him regain Nem'ro's favor. Dheno Rey stops you on the way, apparently he knows the Red Blade. The Red Blade owes Dheno some credits, and Dheno wants you to pay it to him. Your dialog options are:
What do you want? (NEUTRAL)
You're pushing it (NEUTRAL)
You Scum [Attack] (DARK)
You can start a fight with him immediately for some dark points. If you tell him he is pushing it, he blackmails you to give him credits otherwise he will tell the Hutt your secret. Your new options are:
Take some of my credits (LIGHT)
You won't talk (NEUTRAL)
You forced my hand (DARK)
If you give him credits to shut up for light points or if you attack him for dark points, this encounter ends. Choosing the neutral option results in him attacking you, but you do not get any Force alignment points for that.
After that, talk to Karrels Javis. He asks you what it's like dealing with the empire. Tell him it is an odd question. He explains that the Hutts have taken control of the gangs, and he thinks that real soon the Republic and Empire will want control of the Hutts - even if Nem'ro won't believe it. He wants to pick the winning side. He does not see the Empire losing. Tell him that choosing the Empire is a good call. He tells you his sons are free traders and are doing business in the Sullust system, and he is worried because it is their first time dealing with the Empire.
Karrels asks you why you came to him. Tell him you hear Nem'ro isn't a fan of him. He tells you that Nem'ro's been stewing in his slime since they lost a shipment of rare ores in the Evocii lands, and blames Karrels for some reason. The Evocii are Hutta natives, from before the Cartel came. They mostly want the Cartel dead. If you get that shipment back, Karrels will pay you good. If you ask him why he cannot handle it, he says that the Evocii are easy to fight here, on Cartel territory. But in the swamps, they are a lot sneakier. There's a work camp outside of Jiguuna. Nem'ro set it up for some Evocii who wanted peace. The chief there - Odeph - was supposed to talk to the other Evocii tribes about returning the ore. But he didn't come through. He knows something, though.
Your task now is to speak to Odepth, the chief at the Evocii work camp, for more information on the stolen shipment of ore. Head east from Jiguuna, through the Evocii Swamp. Turn south when the road branches, then SE towards the Evocii Work Camp. Use the map to locate where Odeph lives. As you enter his home, some Work Camp Thugs are beating him up. They tell you that they were softening the chief up for you. You can tell them to step away from him for some LIGHT points. Odeph tells you the other Evocii tribes are responsible, and those tribes refuse to return Nem'ro's metals.
Your task now is to recover the four crates of ore from the other tribes. Travel south to the Hostile Evocii Village. On your way there, defeat 18 Renegade Evocii Forces to complete the bonus mission "Marked Evocii". In the village, find and interact with the four crates. Then return to Karrels Javis at Nem'ro's Palace.
Kaliyo Djannis wants to have a word with you. She is in charge of the safety of the palace. She inquires about Dheno Rey. Tell her it was an old Rivaly. But she thinks you guys had something else going on. She tells you she will keep an eye on you.
Speak to Karrels next. Karrels is arguing with Toth'lazhen about Fa'athra's mining operations. He turns to you. Tell you you got the shipment. He will tell you that the fee has been transferred to your account and praises you for a good work done.
Go back to your Suite and use the holoterminal to report your progress to Keeper. Keeper tells you the operation is proceeding well. Thanks to your intervention, Karrels Javis will once again have Nem'ro's ear. Keeper took note of your meeting with Nem'ro's security chief, Kaliyo. You handled yourself well. But you should be on your guard since they've identified her as a freelance assassin, enforcer, and anarchist. She's been attached to a dozen employers in half as many years, using several different aliases.
He now gives you your next mission. Nem'ro operates a major shvash gas mine on Hutta. The Empire wants access to Nem'ro's refined gas. Unfortunately, Fa'athra is tapping the same gas pocket as Nem'ro. We need to destroy Fa'athra's operations in the Rust Yards before Nem'ro's grinds to a halt. Nem'ro's refineries produce shvash usable as a precision explosive. Fa'athra can't refine the gas to the same degree, and he's wasting it by trying. You'll travel to Fa'athra's mining facility and place explosives in the drill shaft, destroying the equipment and collapsing part of the gas pocket. You'll need to strip a uniform and credentials off the facility guards to pass the final security checkpoint. A working disguise is imperative. Your disguise may not hold up under close inspection, so avoid conversation. The explosives have already been delivered to your room. Once you've finished, go back to Karrels Javis and make sure he knows what happened. Take the credit, if you like. Darth Jadus pays increasing attention to your work. Jadus will reward success of failure appropriately.
Keeper tells you to report back after you've destroyed the mine and informed Karrels of the results.
This completes the mission "Subverting Karrels Javis" and starts the mission "Economies of Scale"
