SWTOR Walkthrough - Giant Killer - Sith Inquisitor

"The power of the dark side grows. The Sith Empire has won a major victory against the Galactic Republic and its Jedi guardians, conquering and enslaving many new worlds. A new apprentice in the Sith Order comes to Dromund Kaas, the seat of the Empire's power, to help the scheming master Lord Zash in her pursuit of a powerful artifact. But a powerful cyborg Sith, Darth Skotia, has vowed to stop Lord Zash at any cost. Equipped with the means to defeat Darth Skotia's bodyguards and disable his cyborg enhancements, you prepare to face down the powerful Sith Lord...."

You receive the mission "Giant Killer" from Lord Zash after completing the mission "Dismantling the Machine".

Check your mission log:

Giant Killer
It's time to execute Lord Zash's plan to defeat Darth Skotia. Take the Trandoshan relic and cyber neutralizer and confront Darth Skotia in his chambers in the Sith Sanctum. Enter Darth Skotia's Chambers.

Check your inventory. Under Mission Items, there are 2 items you will need for this quest:

Trandoshan Relic
Bound
Mission Item
This ancient artifact is of great spiritual importance to followers of the Scorekeeper. Holding this should give you sway over Skotia's Trandoshan bodyguards.

Cyber Neutralizer
Bound
Mission Item
Use: Skotia's cyborg components have been severely damaged by the Cyber Neutralizer
This prototype device emits a strong ion pulse, which should severely damage the cybernetic components that make up Darth Skotia.

Important: Open your inventory and go to the mission items tab. Move the Cyber Neutralizer to a visible slot which you can remember. Press escape to exit the inventory while still in the mission tab so that when you open it again, it will open to that tab.

Darth Skotia's chambers is in the same building as Lord Zash. Go south to the big main hall, then take the door to the southeast. Speak to Darth Skotia. The guards see you approach and ask Skotia what he wants them to do. He says that nothing, yet, and turns to you. Darth Skotia asks you what makes you so bold as to enter his chambers? Are you insane or do you have a death wish?

Your possible replies for this are:
Zash's orders
Your death, not mine
Definitely mad

Choose any of the options. Darth Skotia instructs Skeesk to attack you. It's time to bring up the relic, which you can do in three ways:
Is this yours? [SHOW RELIC]
Obey me [SHOW RELIC]
Enough fighting [SHOW RELIC]

Any of the choices are valid. Choose the second one for 15 affection points with Khem-Val. Skeesk and Skarsk, the Trandoshans are confused from seeing the you carrying the tablet. They choose to obey you. Darth Skotia thinks Zash must be clever and stayed up many a night to think of that one. He supposes you will be sending his bodyguards away now, or maybe you'll order them to kill him?

It's your choice:
Kill him. [DARK]
Get out of here. You're free  [LIGHT]
This is my fight [LIGHT]

You can order them to kill Darth Skotia for some entertainment and 100 dark points, but obviously they are no match for him.

SWTOR Giant Killer Mission

Darth Skotia tells you that you shouldn't have done that. The bodyguards - they're nothing but show. But you subverted Darth Skotia's authority. Took his slaves from him. And that makes him angry. He won't kill you fast, instead he wants you to suffer. As soon as the fight starts, IMMEDIATELY target Darth Skotia by pressing TAB, open your inventory to the mission items tab, and right click on the Cyber Neutralizer. If you do not do that you will not be able to defeat Skotia.

Even after using the neutralizer, the fight is tough, very tough if you are under level 14. Darth Skotia is a level 15 elite Boss with almost 13,000 health. Use a stim and be ready to use a medpac. Keep your companion alive if you can heal. How much you attack Skotia depends on whether you are a damage dealer or healer. Even if you took the lightning path as a sorcerer, you should still heal your companion as it helps a lot that he is drawing most of the fire. If you are a damage dealer, then unleash your most powerful damage dealing attacks on Darth Skotia. Your focus could run very low and you will have to use every bit of it to attack Skotia.

SWTOR Kill Darth Skotia

Defeat Darth Skotia, then speak with him again to hear his last words. He blames Zash for his death. Your dialog wheel options are:
No, I did
I'm just that powerful.
You're pathetic

Don't be ashamed to take credit for the kill. Choose the first option, and you also gain 15 affection points with your companion, Khem-Val. Darth Skotia warns you about Zash. You don't know what Zash can do. Think of how many years she must have spent plotting his death. She will kill you just like she's killed him. Darth Skotia Dies.

Go speak to Lord Zash to tell her the good news. With Darth Skotia defeated, nothing stands between you and the lost power of Tulak Hord. Lord Zash has been at a party at the Nexus Room cantina in order to have an alibi for the murder. Go to Lord Zash in her private room at the Nexus Room cantina and report your success. Her room is on the second level of the cantina.

As you enter the story area, Lord Zash is engaged in a boring conversation with Lord Reyzek and Lord Goss. She sees you and cuts her conversation to come talk to you. She hopes you've come to cheer her up:
Skotia's dead
I think you'll be pleased
Call me "Darth-Killer".

Any of the options pleases her. Suddenly she gets a call on her Holocommunicator. It is Darth Thanaton. Your options are:
Should I be going?
Who's the Darth?
Whoa. Important guy

If you try to excuse yourself, Zash tells you to stay. This call won't take long and she has some further instructions for you. Darth Thanaton suspects Lord Zash killed Skotia. But Zash denies it. Darth Thanaton wants Lord Zash to report to his chambers immediately. Zash tells you to give her time to talk to Thanaton and then meet her in Darth Skotia's chambers. And don't worry - you've played your part, now it's time for her to play her part.

Head to Darth Skotia's old chambers in Sith Sanctum. There, you find Lord Kirnon and Lord Calaverous investigating the scene of the crime. Lord Kirnon is confused, everyone knows Lord Zash was at the party when Skotia was killed, and yet everyone knows she killed him. She's somehow devised a way of being in two places at once. Your dialog wheel choices are:
You're right about that.
You cowards
Zash didn't do anything

Choose the second one to ask them if it's fear you smell. Lord Kirnon denies being afraid, but one must be ever-vigilant on Dromun Kaas so that your enemies don't gain an advantage. He begs you to tell him - How did Zash kill Darth Skotia?

Your options are:
She didn't
I did it
It's a long story

Choose the second option for 15 affection points with Khem Val. But even though you just confessed, they do not believe that you, a mere apprentice, were able to beat Darth Skotia. Lord Kirnon warns Lord Calaverous that Lord Zash is becoming too powerful, too quickly. Since when has anyone in the history of the Sith committed a murder so brazenly, yet make it appear that she was somewhere else the entire time? It's enough to wake the Emperor.

Kirnon and Calaverous leave. Go and speak with Lord Zash - who is now DARTH Zash. If you ask her about whether you can get a promotion too, she tells you that for now you remain her capable apprentice, however a Darth can raise an apprentice to a lord - so your prospects just improved.

Zash asks if you remember the map you found on Korriban that pointed us to the power of Tulak Hord? The first piece of that artifact, that power, is here on Dromund Kaas. This piece is in the deepest chamber of the Dark Temple. Skotia always hoarded the key to the chamber like a Hutt hoards his credits. Now Darth Zash has Skotia's title, his chambers, his research and his key. He always said she would enter the Dark Temple over his rusting corpse. However, she won't be the one to go into the Dark Temple - you will. You can respond:
As you say.
Why not you?
Me again.

Choose the third option to remark on how you always have to do her dirty work, as well as gain 15 affection points to Khemval. Darth Zash tells you that before sh went to Korriban to choose an apprentice, a furious apparition awakened in the Dark Temple, implacable in its anger, murdering all who trespassed on the innermost chamber. But Darth Zash had a dream. An apprentice of low origin humbled himself before the apparition, pacifying it. That's why you and your peers were singled out.

Your options are:
Maybe it was just a dream
I am great
Humble myself?

If you choose the first option to dismiss what she saw as just a dream, she tells you that dreams are when the Force speaks to us most loudly. She believes what she has foreseen. You must go into the temple and face the apparition, and when you do, she believes your humility will be the key. Still, she wants you to know, she is not certain you are the one from her dream. She fears she may be sending you to your death. You can reply:
Toughen up, woman
Hardly
I like killing ghosts

Choose the last option to tell her that you eat apparitions for dinner. She says that you have a wonderfully deranged mind, and you're right. Tulak Hord's power awaits us both. We must not lose sight of this goal. Use this glyph to enter the innermost chamber of the Dark Temple. Humble yourself before the apparition, and bring back the piece of the artifact.

Khem Val warns you that even the great Tulak Hord did not tangle wit the spirits. Tread lightly, little Sith.

As a reward, you get credits, experience points, Dark or Light side points depending on how you treated the Trandoshans, and affection points with Khem Val based on your dialog choices. You also get to choose between a Dromund Kaas Commendation and a [GREEN] ear piece, a Standard Resolve Relay that gives you +13 Endurance and +13 Willpower.

This concludes the mission "Giant Killer" and starts the next mission, "In the Halls of Tratitors".
