Endings
Depending on what choices you make and what actions you carry out, you'll end up with any of sixteen possible endings in the game - eight for each of the two 'paths' Geralt can follow. While virtually every side -quest features a number of difference choices which might affect their outcome, the main quest only has a few critical decisions that determine what cut -scenes you'll experience at the end. Many of them also have an effect on your gameplay experience, as well.
They are as follows:
Critical Choices:
Prologue: You're actually given a choice in the prologue, as well - though it's not necessarily as critical as the other ones, it'll still have a marked effect on your experience. While fighting your way through the assault during Roche's interview, you can either kill or spare Aryan La Vallette.
Act 1: Here's where you choose what path you're going to be following for the rest of the game - you can either side with Vernon Roche or Iorveth towards the end of the act, after you've fought Letho and found Cedric. Choose carefully - this choice is probably the biggest in the game, and determines what storyline you'll end up playing.
Act 2 (Roche): You may either slay King Henselt at the Siege of Vergen, or spare him, depending on your choices. Might be a tough choice, depending on how engrossed you are - he's something of a vile little man, after all.
Act 2 (Iorveth): You probably won't be meeting Henselt if you choose to side with Iorveth, and you'll be presented with an entirely different choice - you've got to either condemn Stennis of murder by poison, or absolve him. Understandably, this will lead to either his execution or his survival.
Act 3 (Roche): Hope you haven't gotten too attached to Triss Merigold, because you're going to have to choose between rescuing Anais or rescuing Triss - you can't do both, sadly.
Act 3 (Iorveth): Iorveth's path in Act 3 is actually quite similar to Roche's path, except that instead of Anais, your choice will be between Phillipa and Triss. Again, you can't rescue both, so choose wisely.
Possible Variations (Iorveth) :
1: Spare Aryan, condemn Stennis, and save Phillipa.
2: Spare Aryan, absolve Stennis, save Phillipa.
3: Spare Aryan and kill Stennis; rescue Triss instead of Phillipa.
4: Spare Aryan, absolve Stennis, and save Triss.
5: Kill Aryan, condemn Stennis, and save Phillipa.
6: Kill Aryan, absolve Stennis, save Phillipa.
7: Kill both Aryan and Stennis; rescue Triss instead of Phillipa.
8: Kill Aryan, absolve Stennis, and save Triss.
Possible Variations (Roche)
1: Spare Aryan and Henselt, and assist Roche in the rescue of Anais.
2: Spare Aryan, kill Henselt, and rescue Anais instead of Triss.
3: Spare Aryan, spare Henselt, and rescue Triss.
4: Spare Aryan, execute Henselt and rush to Triss's aid.
5: Slay both Aryan and Henselt and rescue Anais instead of Triss.
6: Slay Aryan, save Henselt, and save Triss.
7: Slay Aryan and Henselt and save Triss.
8: Slay Aryan and Henselt both, and help Roche rescue Anais.
