There are several Fragments located in the Sunleth Waterscape area, along with another Paradox Ending for you to view. The first of the two Fragments is located in the Overgrown Forest area, which is situated on the southwest offshoot on the map. Follow the path downwards from the Assembly area, keeping with it as it twists and turns further away from the main path. When you’re in the Overgrown Forest area, keep an eye out for the Fragment glowing up on a tree branch. Use the Moogle Throw to grab the Thundering Artefact.
There is a Wild Artefact in the area too. Head back to the central path and follow it to the Animal Trail area. Standing on the edge of the ledge to the right, you will see the faint glow of an Artefact off in the distance. Use Moogle Throw to grab the distant object, adding the Wild Artefact to your inventory.
Those are the only collectibles in the area right now, but there is still a Paradox Ending to view. Go into the menu and close the area’s Gate to reset the story progress for the area. Upon going back to Sunleth Waterscape, you will be thrust into battle against the Royal Ripeness boss. Get through this battle the same way you did before; it should be significantly easier now that you are leveled so high. The following battle, however, can be difficult at times, although you should be fine if you have been following the guide successfully so far.
If you recall, you never ended up taking Royal Ripeness on again in the main story. Instead of leaving the area to transform Royal Ripeness into Mutantomato, simply plunge back into battle with the boss upon defeating it for the first time.
Boss Battle: Royal Ripeness
This boss attacks in patterns, so learning these patterns is vital to success. When Royal Ripeness begins to telegraph its attacks, switch to Tortoise to avoid the brunt of the damage. When the boss uses Belch, it is about to poison you. Use Esundada to despell your party and continue on with the fight. Royal Ripeness, on the other hand, is weak against debuffing, so you should cast Deprotect and Deshell on him early in the battle. The Smart Bomb Paradigm can be useful here, as it will utilize two Ravagers to keep the Chain Gauge building while a lone Saboteur weakens the enemy.
You can’t stagger Royal Ripeness, so merely settle for keeping the Chain Bonus high so that your damage output is greater. Switching between the Tri-Disaster Paradigm (three Ravagers) and the Diversity Paradigm can prove useful here, as the former is great for building the Gauge and dealing damage, while the latter is great at healing while maintaining consistent pressure to the Chain Gauge. Once the Chain Bonus reaches around 650%, it should be safe to let out all the stops and switch to Aggression for a quick kill.
Towards the end of the battle, Royal Ripeness will cast Quivering Wrath. This ability gives the creature Haste and allows it to wound your party for large amounts of damage. Make sure to finish the battle quickly at this point, and as always, be sure that the Chain Bonus is high.
Upon beating Royal Ripeness the second time, you will view the Paradox Ending and receive the Transcript: Mog’s Marvelous Flan Plan Fragment and 10,000 experience points.
