SWTOR Walkthrough - Scavenger Hunt - Ord Mantell

Speak with Alma, in the Refugee camp just outside Fort Garnik on Ord Mantell, to begin this mission. This is a level 5 quest.

Alma: Oh no! Where is it? Oh no? What am I going to do? What? What? It was terrible! The separatists came to Talloran village in the night and drove us out of our homes - we had to leave everything behind. We lost it all!

Your choices are:
Everyone has
I'm sorry.
It happens

Choose either the first or second option. Alma tells you she will never get her home back. But when she fled, she left behind an heirloom that belonged to her great-grandmother. She has lost her home. He has lost everything. But if one day, she manages to get off this planet, she just wants to take that one thing. She asks if you will get the necklace for her. You can respond:
Sure
I can't guarantee anything
Just see about the pay

Choose the first option to tell her that she can count on you. She thanks you repeatedly. Next, open your mission log to see the details for this mission:

Scavenger Hunt
Alma, a refugee staying in Fort Garnik, lost everything when she evacuated Talloran Village. You agreed to recover her most cherished possession: An heirloom necklace. Search Alma's abandoned home in Talloran Village for her lost heirloom.

Your task is to find Alma's Heirloom. Heat to Talloran Village and enter Alma's house, a small circular building at the southeast part of the village. You see an alien NPC inside, named Ebenga, going over Alma's stuff. Speak with him to find out who he is and what he is up to:

Ebenga: Ah, who is this poking around in the house of eye? Strange coincidence that we are all here now. We think maybe you are looking for the same thing as us, and so you have come to the same place. It is not surprising that she should send someone. She sent you here for her necklace, yes? That confirms out suspicions. It is a good thing that you have come, yes, to confirm our suspicions.

Your options are:
That's not why I'm here.
I'm confused
You're mistaken

SWTOR Ebenga from Scavenger Hunt

Choose the second option. Ebenga tells you that you both are after the same necklace, but different stories. They suspect she is a crafty one-crafty and tricky. But you were not fooled, they think. She has called it a family heirloom, but it is much more than a necklace. This woman you have met, this woman called Alma is a spy.

You can say:
What about the heirloom?
And you're sure because?
Explain this to me

If you choose the first option,  you ask him what all this has to do with the necklace. He tells you that they are with the Republic, they are the ones who watch Spies. But Alma watches for the Empire. Both the Republic and the Empire have eyes on Ord Mantell. Her heirloom is a communicator that looks like a necklace. A necklace that works just like a communication device. She uses it to speak to the Empire. Either ay, it is the proof they need to arrest her. He wants you to help them. Choose any of the options that come up next, you will not be making the decision whether to side with Ebenga or Alma now.

Ebenga tells you that the first thing you must do is find the necklace. The scavengers have beaten us to this place and taken it. We must steal it back to stop the spying woman. Ask him how to find those scavengers. He tells you that he will mark the location of the scavengers on the map. There you will find the communication device, which is called an heirloom. Ebenga will compensate you upon your return. Your mission log is now updated:

Alma lost everything when she evacuated Talloran Village. You agreed to recover her cherished heirloom necklace. But when you entered Alma's home, you found Ebenga, a Republic SIS agent, who claimed that Alma is an imperial spy and her "necklace" is actually a communications device. Ebenga needs the necklace to prove Alma's guilt. But scavengers have already taken it. Whether you believe Ebenga or not, you must recover Alma's necklace from the scavengers camped outside Talloran village.

Your new objective is to search the Scavengers' Salvage. Exit the village and follow the road to the NE. Kill Scavenger Brutes and Savages on the road leading down to the beach. Local Scavengers have been looting the homes of Refugees from Talloran Village, preying on the victims of Ord Mantell's bloody war. Defeat the scavengers near Talloran Village to show them that the Republic will not turn a blind eye to their actions. Kill 8 Scavenger Forces to complete bonus mission "Preying on Thieves".

Keep gong down hill, and reach a salvage crate near a tent. Loot it to get the necklace. You now need to choose whether you return it to Ebenga, or to Alma

Option #1: Returning the necklace to Ebenga
Go back to Alma's house in the Talloran Village. Ebenga asks you if you have found it. You can give it to him, or if you changed your mind about who to give the heirloom to, you can tell him that you have not decided yet. If you give him the heirloom, you gain 50 light points. He tells you the Republic is in your gratitude for your aid catching this spy. You can tell him:
Go take Alma into Custody
Don't overdo it
For the rightful Government!

If you tell him to go arrest Alma, he says that they first need to analyze the communication device called an heirloom, and set up their trap for the spy who is called a Republic Citizen. It will take time but they will arrest her and learn much about her contacts. You get credits, experience points, and an item as your reward.

Later in the game, you get a mail from Harson Nild with the subject: "Lost" Communications Device:
I understand you helped out one of my operatives with a problem on Ord Mantell - an Imperial spy who was communicating with her superiors through a family heirloom. Ebenga says you preformed with dutiful competence and professionalism. High praise from him. We're learning valuable information from the spy, though I'm afraid the details are classified. I think the Republic Strategic Information Service may find use for you again.

The letter has some credits attached to it. Take them before discarding.

Option #2: Returning Neclace to Alma
Go back to Alma outside Fort Garnik. She asks you if you have found her necklace. You can tell her:
I heard you're a spy
Remind me why you wanted it
Is it really a necklace

Choose the third option to ask her if it is actually a communication device. She denies it.  If you tell her to remind you why she wanted it, she says that it's a heirloom which she wants to give to her daughter. You can give it to her now, or Lie to her that you don't have it if you have changed your mind and want to give it to Ebenga. If you do give it to her, you get 50 dark points. You are rewarded with credits, experience, and an item.

Later in the game,  you get a letter from Alma titled: My Heirloom
I wanted to thank you again for helping me find my necklace. I'd nearly lost all hope, and then you came along and retrieved it from the scavengers. I know there was an Arcona saying things about me - claiming I was in league with the Empire. You were right to ignore the freak, and I hope you won't let his lies spread. I stumbled into a few credits - I'd like to pass them on to you to emphasize how grateful I am. Maybe someday we'll meet again.

Take the attached credits and medpac before deleting the letter.

This concludes the quest, Scavenger Hunt.
