Talk to Master Silvarte near the bridge leading outside of the Jedi Temple area on Tython to begin this mission. This is a level 4 quest.
Master Silvarte: I seem to be cursed. Why do I always get the pupils who thin they're the exception to the rule?
Maser Yollo: Master Silvarte, it's true that our Padawans are acting a bit strangely, but I don't think there's cause for concern.
Master Silvarte: Wait, I have an idea. You, Padawan, I know you.
You can ask him:
How do you know me?
You need me, Master?
Who, me?
Ask him how he knows you. He says he meant that he knows "of" you. Master Yollo tells you that Master Silvarte is concerned about a couple of their Padawans. He suspects that they are following their passions down a dark path.
You can say:
Sounds like trouble
Tell me your need
So, romance is bad?
Ask him what he needs from you. Master Yollo says that in all other aspects, these two are model pupils. Bit he agrees they would be remiss if they didn't know what they can do to settle the issue. Master Silvarte think that the pupils may be more open and revealing with a student like you. He wants you to confront them and discover if they are indeed cultivating a romance.
You can respond:
I'll take this seriously
Right away.
Spying on other Padawans?
Choose the third option to complain that you are basically going to become a glorified snoop. Master Silvarte tells you that you are helping the order root out the seeds of darkness. There is no task more important. Their names are Moracen and Spanios. As we speak, they are in the ruins of Lower Kaleth. So go, talk with them and report back what you discover about their relationship. Try not to alert or alarm them. If they are in love, they are sure to be volatile.
Open your mission log:
Lovers and Secrets
Master Silvarte and Master Yollo believe their Padawans, Moracen and Spanios, are involved in a romantic relationship. Such passions could lead them to forsake their training and lead to the dark side. Master Silvarte and Master Yollo have asked you to confront Moracen and Spanios and discover the truth of their relationship. Travel to the ruins of Kaleth and speak with Moracen and Spanios.
Cross the bridge and follow the Elarian trail, going past Forward Camp, to get to the Lower Kaleth ruins. Locate the two padawans inside the ruins, close to the entrance.
Spanios: You found it! Well done, Moracen
Moracen: Oh, Spanios. I couldn't have done it without you
Spanios: You're amazing. I don't care what the masters say - we're proving everyone wrong. Come here and give me a kiss...
You can choose any of the following dialog choices to interrupt them:
This confirms everything
Don't mind me
I'm next
Choose the third option if you want to be funny. The Padawans try to deny what is going on. You can say:
You're in love
Relax, it's going to be fine
Don't lie to me, it's obvious
Choose the second option to calm them down. Spanios asks you, if you are a friend, does that mean you're not here to blow the whistle on their romance? Fear, not emotion, is the adversary of the Jedi Way. Ironically, the masters fear emotion, and therefore deny us their bounty. Moracen tells you that the power of their love is why they work so well together. Their teamwork allowed them to find a rare lightsaber crystal. So their passion actually strengthens the order.
You can say:
You won't find many who agree
I don't think so
I do not presume to know
Choose the second option to disagree. Moracen asks Spanios to convince you not to expose them. Moracen loves her and wants to honor her request to remain hidden. But it may take a sacrifice, the lightsaber crystal. Moracen agrees to sacrifice the crystal for their love.
Spanios turns to you: Friend, if you tell the Masters we're not romantically involve, we'll give you this powerful crystal for your future lightsaber. Would that buy your silence?
You can say:
We'll see
You should be ashamed
Can I believe you?
If you choose the second option, you accuse Spanios of bribery and tell him that he is only proving the Jedi Code right. If you choose the third option, Spanios assures you that you can trust him and that he will keep his word. If you tell the masters you found nothing suspicious here, come back to them and they will give you the crystal. Moracen warns you not to dare try and fool them.
The quest log is updated:
When you spoke with Moracen and Spanion, they admitted their love for each other but begged you not to inform their masters. They offered you a rare lightsaber crystal if you kept their secret.
You should now return to Master Silvarte near the Jedi Temple.
You now have a choice
Option #1: Tell Master Silvarte that the two Padawans are innocent
You tell Master Silvarte that there is no romance between the two lovers. This gives you 50 dark side points. Master Silvarte believes you and is relieved to find out they are not romantically involved. Return to the Padawan couple. Talk to Moracen. She calls you a "blackmailer" but thanks you for keeping their secret. You can say:
Of course
Give up the crystal
Forget about the crystal
Choose the second option to tell her to hand over the rare lightsaber crystal to you, for another gain of 50 dark side points. She calls you a "bloodsucker" but Spanion comforts her, it is a small price to pay and wishes you good luck. You get a Tython Commendation, as well as a Yellow Fortitude Crystal for your (future) lightsaber.
Option #2: Tell Master Silvarte that the two Padawans are romantically involved.
You tell Master Silvarte that his fears are justified, Spanios and Moracen are romantically involved. You get 50 light points. Master Yollo says they will have to renounce their love and agree to remain apart, or they will never become Jedi. He thanks you for performing this task, it must not be pleasant scrutinizing your fellow Padawans. You can reply:
I'm conflicted about this
All in the name of duty
I won't do your laundry again
Choose the second option. As a reward you get a Tython Commendation and some credits and experience points
This concludes the mission, Lovers and Secrets.
