Final Fantasy XIII-2 End-Game Walkthrough Part 18: Sunleth Waterscape

This area does not have much in the way of quests, but the one quest that it does have will earn you an unusual amount of Fragments. This quest is called Monster Finder. To begin, go to the Bow Isle area and speak with the Flan to the north. It will ask you to find five different Miniflans that have been phased out of time entirely. Each Miniflan that you find will earn you a different Fragment, along with 800 experience points. After finding all of them, you can obtain a sixth Fragment here as well.

The first Flan can be found almost right next to the starting point of this quest. It is in the Bow Isle area to the north. You will have to use Moogle Hunt to uncover it. You will receive the Lapis Lazuli Fragment for finding it. The second Flan is located in the Isle of Arboreal Embrace area. Head to the southeastern area of the map and look for the telltale shimmer of an out of phase object before using Moogle Hunt. You will receive the Cosmo Aura Fragment.

The third Flan can be found in the Hidden Woodland area. Mog should lead you right to him. You will obtain the Heliodor Ore Fragment for finding him. The fourth Flan is located in the Forest Crossroads area. Look for the blue trees, then approach them and use Moogle Hunt to reveal the Flan. You will receive the Carnelian Fragment for finding it. The fifth and final Flan is located in the Overgrown Forest area. Find Chocolina, and then follow the path down to the southeast until it reaches a dead end. Use Moogle Hunt to reveal the Flan. You will receive the Celestine Fragment for finding it.

Finding all five of the Flans opens up the Miniflan Fragment quest. A waypoint should appear on your map. Head over to it to initiate the quest by fighting a group of Miniflans. Those of you hunting for all of the different monster varieties should note that this battle contains black, yellow, blue, and pink Flans that can’t be found anywhere else. This battle should be extremely easy, so deal with all of the Flans to complete the quest. You will receive 2,500 experience points in addition to the Miniflan Fragment and the Thunderstruck Gate Seal, which will allow you to reset the story progress for Sunleth Waterscape.
