Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Walkthrough Part 7 – Ettinmere Sidequest
Fisherman's Bride
Head southeast of where you got the quest to arrive at the pier. Defeat the trio of wolves that you find there to update the quest. Continue on south, taking the east fork of the path, up the hill. There you will find an Ettin Brute waiting for you. Using Reckoning mode will lay waste to the Brute quickly no matter your style. Use the question option at the top of the dialogue choices to get the chance to persuade Enconeg of his delusion. If you can, you can continue up and kill the monster. Otherwise you need to save Enconeg!
After that, you can talk with him and receive another quest, “Imelda's Charm”
Imelda's Charm
Head to the southwest part of the lake. There is a bridge in this area that the Ettin Brute with the charm will be patrolling. Simply attack the ettin to reclaim the charm. Collect it and return it to Enconeg to finish this quest.
Rallying Cry
This one tasks you with tracking down and killing four Ettin Shamans. Likely you have some experience with them now so you know they are not to be taken too lightly. Still, someone nimble on their feet or clad in solid armor can go up against them easily enough.
Sul
Is found to the southwest of Holnstead.
Duxtir
Found just up from the northern shore of the area.
Merog
Found more is the central portion of Ettinmere on an island.
Ansir
Found in the far south part of Ettinmere.
Head to Shieldring keep and talk with Idwold Freward to complete the contract and receive your pay.
Shine and Shadow
Head south into Dellach. Go through, just past the first chamber. Once you do, head to the west. You will find two ettin brutes and one named ettin in the marked chamber. The closer you are to level 8 the easier this fight will be. Once you defeat them all, loot the named one to gain your prize, Shine and Shadow. Now just return to Holnstead and give them to Etelle. He is disappointed about them being simple weapons. Now you can persuade him to just give them to you (and pay you for collecting them!) or just turn them over. That choice should be determined by what you like as they are nice daggers.
