As soon as the trick event begins, tuck in and head straight for the jump ahead. Preload your jump to score extra points as you spin or flip off of it. Catch the rail for some grind points and easy access to the next rail, which will be straight ahead and will launch you up at the end for some pretty decent air time. Take advantage of the rail and ensuing air time to chain together a few spins. Boos off the end of the rail for even more points.
When you hit the ground, take the right-hand rail ahead to the upper right plateau. Grind up the tree by holding down LT. You should have entered Trick by now so take advantage of it to rack up some more points in the jump that will be coming up ahead. Once you get back on the ground, you will be face with three red rails. Catch the middle rail to grind down into an icy, cavernous area and another rail. Ride this one to get back to open mountain terrain. You can essentially just boost through this next area, careening around like a cannonball and scoring jumps and tricks off of whatever surface possible. With the added speed that comes from the boost, any of the rocks or ledges here can become jumps as long as you can hit them at the proper angle. If not, there’s always the rewind function to save you. As you transition from one makeshift jump to another, always be holding the X or B button while on the ground. This will allow you to maintain your combo and keep scoring higher and higher. It will also help you get into Super Tricky easier, if you haven’t already.
As you leave this area, grind up the large tree trunk in the center of the path using LT to get some air. Flip back down to the ground. Proceed down and to the right, into the cylindrical, icy cavern. Grind on the power line in the center of this path. You will be carried into the air. Be ready to jump to the other power line to your left, as this one will end abruptly. Pull off what tricks you can before abandoning the line for the one next to it. This one is a bit longer. Keep tricking on the rialto earn a massive amount of points before getting huge air off of the end.
From the end point of this rail, you can either continue grinding by taking the red rail upwards or stay on the ground to boost and ground trick to the finish. If you do this, remember to constantly hold either X or B. It is recommended that you take the rail to the finish, though, as you can score more points this way. If you haven’t already, spend your Super Tricky to pull off your signature moves as you grind down to the finish line. You should easily have enough points now to overcome the competition.
