SSX Walkthrough Part 6: Diamond Back: Trick It

The next event will take you to icy, industrial Siberia, on the Boris peak. Search the store before you begin this trick event. If you’re lucky, you can get the rare Epic Tricks Board, which will give a massive +25 boos to your trick scores. Epic board in hand, begin the event. There are numerous paths to victory here. This guide will list some of the most notable, as well as a few of the numerous Geotag collectibles that the developers and other users have placed around the mountain. Grab these for additional experience.

Grinding up on the train to the right immediately at the start of the level can be a great way to beg big points early on. There are several other trains to the right and forward if you miss out on the first one. These locations are also a very popular place for users to place Geotags. As of now, if you keep to the right and board overtop of the arch, you can boost while grinding up the second train to grab one of the collectibles. Alternately, you can ride the first train up to a path to the left that is also flush with the Geotags.

Going through the arch instead of above or around it will lead you to a series of two rails. This is the safest way to go, and thus features no collectibles, but if you’re looking for pure points you could do worse. Trick the two rails to build up Tricky, and keep to the upper right to board over the next archway. You can take one of several jumps here for collectibles and big air.

After you clear this area, you will enter an open space with several submerged buildings, reactors, and power lines. Boost off of a jump to the right to soar over one of the deactivated reactors, grabbing a collectible along the way. You can also stay to the left to grind the edges of the buildings here. You should be able to build your Tricky into a Super Tricky any minute now. Once you hit Super Tricky, you’re good to begin busting out signature moves by holding both triggers while tricking. These will earn you much more points than a normal trick. Jump to reactor in the center and trick to grab a collectible while earning tons of points.

The path will branch here. Both left and right sides are popular places for collectibles to be placed by the users, but the right-hand path more so because of the numerous jumps that litter the area. Go right and use the jumps along with Super Tricky to rack up a massive score. Another branch in the path will await you ahead. Go left as the helicopter circles ahead and take the high ground. Boost off of the jump and kick off of the helicopter to earn massive points and fill up your Tricky instantly. You’ll enter another area with buildings and reactors, and as always the reactors are a popular place to find Geotags. After you clear this area, boost while Pressing, either front or back, to top off your score and finish the event.
