SSX Walkthrough Part 9: Don't Make Me: Trick It

Equip an ice axe if you haven’t already. Alex’s default Supergrip Ice Axes should be more than enough to carry you through this level. Here, you will have to beat your opponent in a one-on-one tricks battle. This will entail getting at least 1,300,000 points by the time you reach the end, as this is around the threshold that your opponent will usually score at.

Begin the event and head forward. You can either grind the ridge to the left or jump up it. A curved wall to the right can also make for an impromptu ramp with the help of some boost. Continue into the natural half-pip of ice ahead. Jump up the sides and spin and flip back down. Jump at the end of the half-pipe and flip to land on the following rail. Grind the rail downwards. Boos off of the ramp as soon as you land for huge air and, if you have enough speed, a push off of the helicopter.

When you land, boost up the sheer right side of the mountain and trick your way down to the rail on the left. Ride it through the thicket. Boost off of the end either towards the right or the center. The right will lead you to a hill with a jump and another helicopter, while the center will lead you to another rail to grind. You can enter another half-pipe to the left that ends in two rails and a few jumps, or you can go off of the jumps to the right. Use the following steep, icy decline to gain speed and head off of the next jumps to the right. You may be able to catch the chopper again here if you can get enough air.

Speed forward towards the cliff. Pre-load a jump to get massive air on your descent. Another drop on the left will lead to more massive air. Catch the rail in the center of the path and boost up it after you land. This will propel you high and fast off of a sheer cliff face for even more huge combos. A dark path to the left, reached by grinding the left-hand rail once you land, will lead to even more massive air potential. Stick to the left of the dark path to ride the ridge up and off of a cliff. Trick your way back down and follow the path the last few feet to the finish line.
