Mass Effect 3 Walkthrough Part 17: Heating Units & Improved Power Grid

As you explore the Citadel, you will come across a salarian in the Presidium Commons area who will be talking to his family about a batch of eggs. He will be worried that the eggs won’t hatch properly since they are not receiving adequate heat from their heating units. Unfortunately, the hardware he needs is not available in normal stores. There are two ways for you to obtain the heating units. First, you can wait until the N7: Noveria mission. You will be able to find the heating units on the lower level of the base. When you need to deactivate a security computer, looks across the room from the computer first to find them. Otherwise, you can simply pick up the heating units from the Spectre terminal on the Citadel. Head back to the worried slarian with the heating units in tow to receive your reward.

You will pick up the Improved Power Grid mission in Purgatory. Speak with the human inside of the lobby of the club, right by the main entrance. She will be talking on the phone to her superior, reassuring her that she can find a new power grid to power the club. She will express concern, though, that again, nothing on the legal market can provide enough power to keep the club in business. As usual, you can find the improved power grid in one of two locations. Firstly, you can purchase the power grid from the Spectre console on the Citadel. The cheaper way to get it is during another of the N7 missions.

During the N7: Cerberus Attack mission on Tuchanka, you can find the Old Grrid Schematics item in the room where you will need to operate the ground-to-space artillery cannons. Return to the Citadel and hand the schematics over to the woman. Do not wait too long to do this, though, as the woman will leave after you finish solving the problem of the genophage.
