Since Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag features a lot of pirating aspects, of course there is buried treasure to find. You can find some buried treasure in most island areas of the game, but to find them you’ll first have to get the treasure map for that area. In addition to great rewards, you can also get the trophy or achievement “Excavator” for finding your first treasure. Ready to start the treasure hunt?
To get the treasure map required to find the buried treasure, you must first conquer that areas naval fort. Then, synchronize all the viewpoints in that area as well. You’ll then be able to find the treasure map for that area, which details where you can find the treasure. Trying to dig up a treasure chest before this, even if you know exactly where it is, won’t work. You have to have the treasure map.
Get the map for this chest by going to Andreas Island. It’s on the southern tip. Then get the on Abaco Island at 606,835. It’s near some palm trees and a ship. Inside is 4,000 Reales.
Head to Corozal to find this map near the campfire. Then, you can find the treasure 55, 178 at Ambergris Key. You need to swim underwater to get there. Once you surface, find the ruins. The treasure is here in a little alcove across from the main ruins. Dig up the treasure, which is 4,000 Reales.
First, get this treasure map by sending a fleet out to the Mediterranean Sea for the mission “Great Reputation II”. If you are successful, the ships will return with the map. Next, go to the smuggler’s den at Anotto Bay near 621, 277. Climb the ladder and get the treasure of 4,000 Reales.
This treasure map can be found on Mariguana Island. Go to the center of the island and find it a bit to the left. Then, go to 579, 720 to find the buried treasure. It’s on a tiny island off the southern coast of Andreas Island. Digging it up gets you the Elite Harpoon plans and 3,000 Reales.
Get the treasure map for this area on the east coast of this island by a ship in the cove. Next, go to the coordinates 179,593 on Cape Bonavista to get it. Next, look for a small cave on the island. Go inside and dig near a small rock to get the treasure. This one will get you 1,500 Reales.
First, get this treasure map at Pinos Isle. It can be found on the north end, on a corpse that was crushed by a column. Then head to Cayman Sound to the coordinates 327, 334. Get the buried treasure on the right side of the island, in an area with a couple trees and rocks. There are 4,000 Reales inside.
Find the treasure map first by using the fleet to check out the Eastern British Colonies in “The Empty Cellar” mission. If you are successful, you’ll get the map. Then you can go to find the treasure at 671, 381. The treasure is on the northern tip of the island, near some rocks. You’ll get a reward of 4,000 Reales.
Get the Havan treasure map by going north of the church to get it by the General Store. Then, go to the south city nearby, to the coordinates 240, 607. Go to the outer wall to get to the coordinates and dig up the treasure by a fallen palm tree, which includes 3,000 Reales and plans for Queen Anne’s Figurehead.
Grab this treasure map by sending a fleet to eastern Canada for the mission “Scarlatina”. If you are successful, you’ll get the map. Then, go to 502, 44 to find the treasure on the southern coast. It’s near a wrecked ship.
Get the treasure map for this buried treasure from the top of Ill a Vache. Then, head to 565, 539 to find the buried treasure. Inside the hideout, find a flat rock with a tree next to it. Dig around here to get the treasure, which includes 4,000 Reales.
Find the treasure map for this one in Misteriosa, on one of the higher levels of the ruins. You can only access the area after Sequence 9, Memory 2. Then, head to 623, 172 to find the buried treasure. It’s on the east end, near some crates. The reward inside is the Blackwood Wheel design plans and 3,000 Reales.
Get this treasure map first from Isla Providencia. During a chase scene in Sequence 8, Memory 3, the icon for the treasure map will appear. Grab it I the northern area. Then, find the buried treasure at 525, 253. It’s on the northeast beach of Long Bay, which you can only access after Sequence, 10, Memory 3. You’ll get 4,000 Reales.
This treasure map is found in Tortuga, along the northeast coastline. Grab it from a corpse. Then, head for the treasure at 333, 650. Dock the Jackdaw and head southeast through the town to reach the ruins. Behind one of the big columns, find the spot to dig. You’ll get the plans for Elite Mortar Storage and 3,000 Reales.
The map for this treasure is found on Ambergris Key, on the second floor of the ruins. Remember you need the diving bell to reach Ambergris Key. Then, you can head to 307, 195 to find the treasure. It’s on Misteriosa, at the very top of the largest structure. Find it near the water. You’ll get the plans for Heavy Shot and 3,000 Reales.
Get the treasure map by finding a small cavern on the right side of the beach in Great Inagua. You need to jump using the palm trees to reach the area. Then, get the treasure chest at 633, 784. It’s in a restricted area near the swamp. Go down the cliff near the house and find the spot near two downed trees. Inside is the plan for Grey Sails and 3,000 Reales.
Get the map first from the northeast corner of Salt Lagoon. Next, go to the coordinates 442, 118 at New Bone. The dig area is in the back area, near the cliff and to the right of the windmill. You will receive 4,000 Reales.
Find the treasure map in Cayman Sound, on the northeast side by some rocks and trees. Then, head to 901, 263 to find the digging spot near the campfire site. It’s in a restricted zone. You’ll get the Heavy Shot Storage plans and 3,000 Reales.
Get the treasure map on the north tip of Cumberland Bay. Then, head to the coordinates 327, 334 on Pinos Isle to find the treasure. It’s to the right of the ruins, near a large tree. You’ll find the Aquilla Wheel plans and 3,000 Reales inside.
This treasure map can be found in Anotto Bay. Dive down to the smuggler’s den and get it on the east side. For the treasure, go to the coordinates 992, 422 on Principe. Find the two towers next to the cannons and head to the right edge by the cliff to dig it up. You’ll get 4,000 Releas.
Find the treasure map for Salt Lagoon on Abaco Island, at the south end in the Eleuthera region. The chest is then in the Salt Lagoon area in the Gibara region in front of a large rock formation at 749, 625. This chest contains some plans and 3,000 Reales.
Go to Santanillas to get the treasure map from the northeast corner. Then, head to 479, 487 to find the buried treasure. Drive underwater using the diving bell to find the smuggler’s den. Break the planks on one of the tunnels and below you can get the treasure. You’ll get 3,000 Reales and the plans for Elite Fire Barrels.
First, get the map from the west side of Petite Caverne. Then, go to Tulum to the coordinates 70, 405. The dig site is on the southeast edge near a big tree. You’ll get 4,000 for finding it.
